  1. Please review the width of 16th Avenue as it pertains to bi-directional traffic, yet again. According to safety edicts, 16th was too narrow for 2 directional traffic, thus One Way was required to be instituted.
Such a burden to drive around the corner, we know, but the law is the law and non adherence by the County of Monmouth has many caveats, the least of which is negligence, allowing dangerous and hazardous conditions to exist.
Despite the one way designation, in an EMERGENCY, traffic pattern directions are reversed.

  2. Every Municipality that oversees vehicular streets must adhere to bidirectional traffic rules. If too narrow, like for example, 17th in LAKE COMO and they change DOT approved patterns then they risk liability, tax increases and yes, their own motor vehicle insurance rates could be subject to increases due to increased accidents like inner cities.

  3. If they intend to build 10 townhomes next to 7-11 on 11th ave ( at Rt 35) then they will need to make 11th ave a two way street again.

  4. 11th ave had been a two way street for many years and was very efficient. When they needed to sell the Ragin Cajun property to make it a restaurant, they made the street a one way, to make more parking ( diagonally).
It has been a problem ever since, especially since so many people go the wrong way down the street anyway, to get to Rt 35 and 7 11.

  5. #8 people drive the wrong way on all our one way streets, that road should stay one way, you must live in the high rise and find it inconvenient.

  6. 1. I don’t live in the high-rise
    2. It is more convenient to leave it a one-way
    3. If you lived here, you would see how dangerous it is when people go down the one-way, going the wrong way
    4. You sound like the guy who backs up going the wrong way down the street (which is still illegal).
    5. Hope all drivers going the wrong way down the one-way streets get caught

  7. #10 it is always dangerous when someone drives the wrong way, sorry not the guy that backs up I drive around the block.
    #11 serious about what part.
