  1. This administration really made a mess of our first aid. Watch for heads to roll when someone needs to wait an abnormally long time for an ambulance from Manasquan at the height of summer. Even if there’s a “central location”, that central location is probably somewhere in Sea Girt or Spring Lake. Manasquan isn’t exactly next door and takes a good 15 minutes to get there on a regular day.

  2. This plan will prove to be a boondoggle. Belmar can’t handle their own call volume and they’re taking on two towns that are five miles away.

  3. Why did Belmar not support the first aid. We will now pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for something we already had for a fraction of that.

  4. #4 – BINGO, There’s much more here than meets the eye. The whole thing stinks to high heaven.

  5. This was a spat between Walsifer and the Hines’. Nothing more. Instead of continuing to support what was already there (it did require more money due to lower volunteer numbers), they let the first aid dissolve and then tried to buy the place themselves and turn it into a boys club for Eddie and his crew. On our dime and through eminent domain. They folded like beach chairs when they saw how many signed a petition to stop them. Unfortunately instead of contrition or self awareness, they are doubling down on the scheme. It never ends with these guys.

  6. It’s hard to believe that manasquan and sea girt will hand over 500k for a plan with no guarantees. SMH
