  1. Socialism 101 – gotta put those new “immigrants” somewhere. Anyone aware of the southern border crisis? Incoming Afghans Joe wants to take care of? Hey, all those homeless in California that Gavin Newsom doesn’t seem to mind?

  2. Government run factories are coming, line up and apply. The gov’t will not discriminate as long as applicants toe the party line. People will be guaranteed identical apartments and small monotone cars. No caviar for you! Soup is ok.

  3. #4- Perfect. That’s exactly how I describe the Democratic socialist agenda to my 20 to 30 yoa kids. You can Baaaaaah. But don’t bend over. How much exactly can I earn Mr. Biden, sweeping the streets?

  4. Hahaha. My goodness, did any one of you take the time (about nine seconds) to read the above ‘article’?
First- it’s an opinion piece. Just one person’s opinion. It is light on details and thick with hot button innuendo. The classic fear mongering that accompanies empty arguments. Watch out white people! The brown folks are gonna turn your house into the projects! Boogie boogie boogie! Great stuff
So you’re all against affordable housing AND homeless people? That makes a lot of sense.
And all these comparisons to communist Russia. You’re aware that the last guy to occupy the WH was not only besties with ol’ Vlad Putin, he also tried to usurp the will of the people and remain in power by force. And Biden is the commie??! Reagan is spinning in his grave.
Lastly- this is a proposal to set aside funds for affordable housing. That’s all. A proposal. As you all know, Congress makes the laws and controls the purse strings, not the prez. This is not a federal grab of local zoning laws. It’s a large infrastructure package. It will be changed and rechanged dozens of times before ever (if ever) becoming a law.
Let’s all take a deep breath and try to use our reasoning skills for a change.

  5. #1? I am confused what is going in the old jacks tavern? will it be a new bar? I thought the license was used at beachhaus

  6. #6 My post is an example of “hyperbole” used to make a point, wake up the complacent followers who may be oblivious to what some in the government are doing, what they have up their sleeves. The “everything is fine” line kept many in Belmar in the dark about the shenanigans of the prior administration, for example, resulting in the town being nearly bankrupt. Fairy tales contain truths, as well.

  7. I like the words used by a mother of one of the 13 slain U.S. service members, that Biden is a “feckless, dementia-ridden piece of crap”. If any president is an example of a dictator contender, it is Biden who signed 47 executive orders in his first several days in office after stating that he does not want to govern like a dictator by using executive orders. Not answering questions by the press? They call him Walkaway Joe. Sorry, but that guy is DANGEROUS. I’ll betcha he gets removed from office by using the 25th amendment. Then we will have the inept gigglepuss Harris. Great for the country, huh? I’d take Trump as Commander in Chief any time.

  8. I am all for helping people but not one dollar should be spent on illegal aliens while there are homeless vets. These people served our country and our country ignores them while people who have done nothing for this country reap the benefit. Close the border and lets get our own house in order. You can’t help other people if you don’t help yourself first.

  9. #11- The death of those soldiers was tragic. They were killed by terrorists. Terrorists have been killing our soldiers for decades. Yes, even while Trump was in office (63 in Afghanistan alone). You want to stay in Afghanistan for ever? Trump certainly didn’t. This plan was the Trump administration’s plan. The time line is being kept.
Executive orders? Trump had 220 in his four disastrous years. Maybe Biden will catch up, maybe not. I doubt it would matter to you.
Joe Biden is a dottering old fool. You’ll get no argument from me. But the reason he is our president is because of Trump. The last election was a repudiation of the deranged and, yes, dangerous Donald. It was not about Biden. It was about getting rid of the incompetent, serial pervert, draft dodging, bankruptcy having Trump. I am no fan of Biden, but every day I don’t have to listen to the used car salesman Trump lie with breathtaking ease…I’m happy.

  10. #6. The ONLY thing I agree on with your statements is that it is an opinion piece. That is the problem with published news articles whether print, TV or internet. No more Walter Cronkite. 99.9% of the “news” articles today are opinion. People in general believe everything they read and don’t care to take the time to investigate the sources of the crap being published. Mainstream journalism is garbage slanted to lean left or right. What to cover, how to cover it, how to slant it is all controlled by the powerful at the top.

  11. #16 Well we are in agreement there. Your assessment of the modern news media is accurate. Although it has been going on since the invention of the printing press. People on the right think the ‘main stream’ media is biased to the left (they’re right). And people on the left think that the ‘main stream’ media is biased to the right (they’re also right). These companies profit from division. It is their business model. If it bleeds, it leads. However, we are the consumers of this crap. We are as much to blame as the pushers themselves. They give us exactly what we ask for. If we stopped consuming biased news, they’d stop producing it.
Princess Diana was killed in a tunnel in Paris by her insatiable fans. If her adoring public would have just let her live her life, the paparazzi would not chase her down like a winning lottery ticket and she’d still be alive today. Diana was the drug, the paparazzi was the dealer, we were the user. We’ve learned nothing.
Right wing and left wing ‘news’ media see the benefit in keeping us all at each other’s throats. We allow it.

  12. Poor Thomas Paine must be rolling over in his grave; Aspire to be the best you can be for yourself and your Community. I agree with the latest suggestion that a portion of the former BFAS 501c donations should be considered to help Tunnel to Towers New Veteran Housing initiative. Not like the cruel Federal Housing Projects in the City of Newark.
