It commemorates Carlos M. Gonzalez, a 22-year-old from Passaic, New Jersey, who sacrificed his life on March 16, 2006, during Operation Iraqi Freedom.<\/p>\n<p>The second marker, on Ocean Ave at the flagpole between 5th and 6th Ave, will be honored around 9:21 am.
