Belmar has Two Markers – Times are approximate –

The first, located on Ocean Ave at the North Blvd beach entrance, will be honored at approximately 9:07 am. It commemorates Carlos M. Gonzalez, a 22-year-old from Passaic, New Jersey, who sacrificed his life on March 16, 2006, during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

The second marker, on Ocean Ave at the flagpole between 5th and 6th Ave, will be honored around 9:21 am. This marker is in memory of Campbell McKenna, a 21-year-old from Shark River Hills, Neptune, New Jersey, who passed away on August 27, 2003.
