all town recycling picked up by DeLisa Waste Services on THURSDAYS.
The rules and regulations will remain the same and should be followed.
The first DeLisa recycling collection will be on January 5th,
please do not put out your recycling on Monday, January 2nd.

On the South Side where we have a regular Monday TRASH pickup,
there will be a regular trash pick up Monday, December 26th.
Belmar DPW will pick up recycling on Tuesday, December 27th.
The first DeLisa recycling pickup will be on Thursday, January 5th.
Everything at the Recycling Center stays the same.

Whoa. Hold on a sec Charlie. One of the first things this soon to be former admin did when falling into office was to tell us how they could save a million bucks by having our DPW employees pick up the recyclables and nixed DeLisa’s bid. After purchasing more equipment and I’m sure hiring more employees they now feel we can now spend millions to have DeLisa back? Sounds like this soon to be former admin is spending money unwisely on the way out the door. Anyone out there have any info on this deal? Are we going to sell off the now un-needed equipment and layoff employees now that they are not needed? There should be laws regulating what rights soon to be former politicians have in wasting money. I guess it forces incoming newly elected officials to balance the books, somehow. Can’t wait to hear what the new BA has to say.
This has to be more economical than the DPW resources that were being used to make thousands of trips back and forth from the recycling center in the little gator vehicle.

They didn’t save a million bucks. They bought equipment and spent many man hours to try to prove a point. DeLisa is far more efficient.
