Trust the party to do the right thing for the country.” That statement was a rhetorical swipe, but I fear that too many people do not think for themselves, do research and make wise and thoughtful choices when they vote. Deciding to vote for individuals instead of voting for parties might require too much effort. Right now the situation in my opinion looks FUBAR.

#6 oddly enough I agree with you about the two party system. We are being screwed by both and they are at their happiest when we’re at each others throats.
I didn’t realize that CNN and MSLSD (clever) were sued by a third party for a billion dollars and settled for 780 million while admitting that they did in fact lie to their viewers, all the while having their internal emails and text messages show a pattern of lies and hypocrisy. I must have missed that. Please attach a link so we can all read about it.
I never said a thing about other networks. Your assumptions are misplaced. All the cable networks have an editorial opinion. All of them. None of them have lost a court case for defamation (yup, a settlement is the same as a loss). I don’t trust any single news source. I search for truth. Unbiased truth. You correctly pointed out Fox sucks but never said anything about the other lying corporate news media. It’s obvious you’re a Democrat.
I pointed out the other side sucks too and right away you went on the defensive and defended them because they have no settlements against them so they must be legitimate. Like The Clinton Foundation was legitimate when Hillary lost… don’t cry… she sucked and so does Trump who beat her. How about I attach the link about the CIA Director who resigned because three classified emails were found on his personal computer when he served under Bill Clinton in the late 1990s? A different set of rules applied to Hillary however when her classified State department correspondence was discovered on her personal email server? Hmmm? No punishment or settlement there though so it must never have occurred, right?

Second I never once defended any other networks. I never brought up the Clintons. The Clintons? I was merely pointing out that Fox News settled a law suit with a third party. As you know, liable cases are nearly impossible to prove. Most complainants don’t even bother because the standard is so ridiculously high. What Fox did was soooo egregious that they settled for over 3/4 of a billion dollars rather than go through the embarrassment of a trial (I’m bummed, a trial would have been hysterical) What’s dangerous about all this is what Fox did was perpetuate a lie. Not an opinion (there’s a difference) but a dangerous lie. There are millions of Americans (including the former administrator of this blog) who believe, falsely, that the last election was stolen. That is a literal assault on democracy. It’s not giving one candidate favorable coverage or down playing the political trouble of another. That I can live with. This was a known lie (emails and texts show that they all knew it was bogus) perpetuated for ratings. Period. I agree with Mr Creamer. Fox told their audience what it wanted to hear.
