I don’t think the increased number of pay to park spots made the beach calmer this summer.
I think it helped the administration a great deal. Who knows what ways they will squander the windfall. I can say with certainty, it will not help the tax payer.
As far as EV spots proposed by Murphy, it’s the future. Who cares? I’m not all that interested in being subjected to the whims of the OPEC cartel for ever. Besides, when automobiles started to become common place, the people who rode horses were not happy. The tax payers paid for federal, state, and local roads. The auto makers benefited. Life goes on.
Belmar made alot more in parking because they made alot more free spots paid parking.

At least with EV charging at the beach you can be assured of energy to all in the same of a hurricane aftermath.
