Council Candidate Suzanne Anan

  1. Omg! Yay!! I’m glad Mike already won a council seat and wish him luck as mayor. But Suzanne Anan is a phenomenal pick!! She is kind considerate, honest and smart!! She deeply cares about Belmar and all of the residents. Myself, my family and our neighbors are happy and excited to see a fresh face with a fresh outlook! They have our votes!!

  2. Mr DeBlasio’s qualifications include being on the council for 10 minutes and not being transparent about approving the removal of the height restriction for the Mediterranean project while on the planning board. (Deleted by Editor.)

Mrs Annan is a very talented artist and seems very nice. Does that mean she’d be a good council member? Uncertain.

  3. Ms. Anan is a good , fair , honest person. She has all the qualifications to be an excellent council person. There’s nothing not to like about her. Everyone has to start somewhere.
And if the height factor of the Mediterranean project causes you to lose sleep, try Relaxium.

  4. wouldn’t it be great to have a leader who cares about people, who has integrity… in addition to have a council person who leads by equality and has a gentle heart, the fact that both of them listen and care about what is on your mind

    Two people who are positive
Who have no time for negativity

    An engineer and an artist
Two people who have the ability to make a difference

  5. Do we really want Belmar to be controlled 5-0 by one political party? How well is that working out in our country? Shouldn’t we have a couple of watch dogs on the Council? At another time I would vote for Suzanne. I’ve met her and like her. Think about what took place during the Walisifer years when things were just rubber stamped. So I will be voting for Donovan and Robinson.

    1. No we should not have “watchdogs” on the council. We should have people that will work together for the better of Belmar regardless of party.

  6. We’ll vote who you want but GUARANTEED Mike and Suzanne are the party-less vote meaning they don’t like titles or parties. Belmar is too small of a town to divide. If you want a free Belmar vote Mike and Suzanne

The best thing is they have the support of both parties

    Those who know
    Know!!!

  7. Suzanne is almost too good of a person to be in politics
She must have a higher calling
If she gets voted in, she will be the peoples person guided by love

  8. Al Dente I think you’re over cooked. First, I really don’t think there should be partisan politics in local elections. When Walsifer was mayor they had Tom Brennan on the council and even made him council president. Stop looking backwards and look towards the future. Suzanne is smart enough to do what’s best for the town and the residents. She will not be swayed by partisanship. You’ve met her, you know her, you like her. Look forward not backwards and give her a chance.

    1. I think you’re missing the point. And using Tom Brennan as an example of virtuous leadership is like using a rock as an example of a cell phone. Councilman Brennan was as capricious as a tumbleweed. If there was an actual dissenting voice on the council, maybe we wouldn’t have purchased an over priced contaminated property from the former BAs brother in law. Maybe we would have had some common sense warnings about affordable housing requirements. Any room filled with “yes men” tends to be very bad for this town. Just look back at the Doherty years. We are still paying for the decisions made by that *** ****** *****. A balance of ideological differences, no matter how slight, is a vital part of democracy.
Donovan for mayor. Let DeBlasio be council person for a year at least. Get some experience.

      (Asterisks are mine, Editor.)

    2. Overcooked? Maybe well done.

When you said “too good for politics” that speaks volumes about the state of our political system in this country.

  9. I don’t know Mr. DeBlasio at all. A complete new comer which may be good, time will tell. As far as Ms. Anan goes. I have known her for many years. Why she would want to get involved with politics is beyond me. That being said, I couldn’t be more thankful that she is! The most down to earth, good person i know. The residents will be thankful having her represent them.

  10. By the time the new election comes around Mike DeBlasio will have served a year plus several years on the planning board

Thank goodness he is an engineer
And he could shed light on some of these projects that are coming to our town sooner than you think

  11. “Starting on day one, we will end inflation and make America affordable again, to bring down the prices of all goods” – DJTrump

Inflation surged even more in March.

For all you Trump cultists out there, I hate to say we told you so, so I’ll shout it through cupped hands, WE TOLD YOU SO!!!!!
