  1. Hahahahaha. Omg that’s classic. Wonder where they’re going after the porch party? Three guesses. And I wonder who is going wake up with a drunken stranger sleeping on their couch or a pile of human excrement in their outdoor shower? DJais pays less in property taxes than many private homes in Belmar. It is inexcusable.

  2. The value of that animal house just doubled with the new condos being approved. That house will sell in no time and a beautiful single family home will be constructed. Nobody was going to buy that place to live there with Belmar Inn across the street. Now there is hope.

  3. #2 that was the point of the video. The real problem in this town in general and on 12th in particular, is animal houses. Animal houses supported by DJais. If the Inn sold for market value, and two single family homes went up (or even a condo building with, say, six units), the scenario you describe would still happen. It is the fact that the town is bending over backwards, and making the residents of 12th bend over forwards, that is the problem. None of what you said changes the fact that this is the government picking winners and losers. It’s not the way this country should work.

  4. That is a clip in the middle of the day that is not even 30 seconds, I bet at some point there were people out at the Belmar inn

  5. The culprit in the past, as 12th Ave well knows and voted for, was the 12 o’clock close. The landlords promoted letting the slum dwellers party from 12am to dawn and they the tenants found it was Cheaper to swill at their rentals. Now since that educational disaster they don’t go out until 10-11pm on weekends. Who do you blame for that mistake teaching the unwashed to conserve their dough for a higher prices drink?

  6. #5 are you saying the bars closing at 2am is the problem? That they should go back to a midnight close time? If so, I agree. It would be politically difficult, but it would be effective.

  7. That will never happen again. The bars would lose a fortune. When it was in effect there was always a mad dash to get to another town who still had the 2am closing.

  8. Read 5 again! Twelve o’clock close was the crux of the porch dwelling problem. They figured out it was cheaper at home. Get ranked and then they go out 10-11p often wasted.

  9. #8 suggesting that closing the bars at 12 would be worse than closing them at 2 may be the dumbest thing said in this blog. Sure they’ll scramble to go to bars that are open til 2. But let those towns deal with these lightweights for a change. Eventually they’ll all head to seaside or sea bright or Asbury or wherever. Good riddance. They’re just a drain on property values, which is a drain on tax revenue. The bars that fuel this costly fire do not pay nearly enough in taxes. DJais has half the police force stationed there every weekend. It is unbelievable that we put up with it. Is it because they give the locals one night at the end of the summer? Hey, sorry that Staten Island fella had too many white claws, broke into your home and peed on your sofa, here’s a free slice of pizza! It’s a joke.

  10. #9: Seems like your dense is denser as the day is long. The porch dwellers don’t go out until 10/11pm then they return at 2:10am to disgorge themselves publicly.

    That is the point.

  11. #11 so what are you saying? Keep the bars open til 2 so that the idiots can then stagger back through sleepy neighborhoods at 2:30am? If they close at 12, then the moths will bounce around someone else’s flame. Let SeaSide take care of them for a while. Look up the word ‘dense’. It appears as tho you’re projecting.

#10 that’s true. But DJais is definitely the head of the snake. Make them close at midnight AND actually follow the laws of the town AND make them pay the hourly wage of every single officer that is stationed there all weekend. If DJais finally had to play by the rules? They’d close up shop. They close up shop, this town becomes about 57% better overnight. Let’s give it a try. If I’m wrong I’ll publicly apologize. But if I’m right, your house is worth more money. Win win.

  12. 4k sq ft property located on the first block of 11th Ave just sold in excess 2M.

Do the Belmar Inn math, 2022!
