  1. Just another bunch of meaningless malarkey. Especially when so many young people can’t read a clock like that.

  2. I think the clock is beautiful. It’s a nice addition to Main Street. I also love #1 and his myopic outlook on life. Perhaps one day he’ll see that making a blanket statement about “young people” (or any segment of the population) is always a bad idea. And maybe he’ll recognize that making such a statement is actually a defense of having that type clock there. Think of all the opportunities there will be to teach young people, who don’t already know, how to read a clock like that. Education is everywhere. But alas, negativity (often confused with honesty) prevails.

  3. The Reverend’s homily from the book of Ecclesiastes reminded me of Pete Seeger and the Byrds … “Turn, Turn, Turn”
I like analog clocks … but, eventually they all wear-out like other electro-mechanical devices.
In 2023, we go to daylight savings time … without need to adjust the clock twice a year.

Gene – To me the best of Ecclesiastics is III – there’s a time for everything.

  5. #5 my favorite is Matthew 7:1, which begins “judge not lest ye be judged”. Maybe you should try to think about that before you begin typing.

  6. The clock is gorgeous and very quaint. A great addition to Main Street. Thank you Mayor and Council for marking Belmar’s 150th BDAY with something so nice.

  7. Why do people denigrate so many positives that many residents and visitors alike enjoy here in Belmar? It doesn’t make any sense.
