  1. So glad to see Caitlin Donovan on the Harbor Commission. Hopefully she can unwind the abuse of present row boat rental/ boat storage concession in our marina. The present lease holder has ******* the town for years. Levis has done nothing to fix it.

      1. I would love to see the ******s lease with the town for all those boat slips and storage area. I still see that black van parked in front of marina office for years. It’s used as a storage trailer for his gear. No one does anything about it. I called police several times.

      2. Here’s a radical idea. Contact her. Meet with her. Grow a bit of a backbone and discuss the fact that you don’t think she’ll do anything to her face. Now that would be something. If the thought of that frightens you, then maybe call Verizon and see if they think she’ll “do nothing”. I would bet a year’s salary that you won’t do either of those things. Because, unlike her, you are actually the one that does nothing.

          1. I hope so too. She’s the type of person who gets things done. My post was directed towards Joe D. He is really good at judging folks from his armchair. He is not very good at being judged himself however.

    1. Levis is on the Harbor Commission. He’s one of nine people that make up the commission. Another person on said commission is R Kinney, husband to council person Jodi Kinney.
I wonder why you singled out just one person. If you feel the the commission is ineffectual, then you must feel that every member of it is ineffectual. I look forward to you calling out the other members of the commission for ‘doing nothing’.

      1. Because Levis is the Belmar Council liaison to the Harbor Commission. The others are political appointees. Donovan is a doer and I have faith that she will get to the bottom of this ****.
I wish she was the Council President.

    2. Fisherman you are always on here complaining about Tom Palmisano you come across as a disgruntled boro employee but you never bring the receipts all you have to do is opra the boat leases to see what’s going on but you want everyone else to do your job if you want to be pissed at someone it should be Dirty Doherty for giving away the marina to Chefs, Palmisano pays Chefs rent when it should have been Belmar, Palmisano pays over $30,000 to Chefs for tackle shop who cares that he leaves a van there as far as I am concerned that is one less patron of Chefs so please tell us what your real beef is.

      1. Is that true??! The bait shop rent goes to Chef’s Int? Please tell me that’s not true. The free liquor license and the town paying to reinforce the dock area wasn’t enough?
The people in this town that supported Matt should have to pay reparations to the rest of us.

        1. Yes 100 percent true and there used to be a veteran hot dog vendor at the L street beach by boat ramp who is no longer allowed to sell food because Matt gave full authority to Chefs that no one is allowed to sell any type of food on marina property that is also in the lease

          1. So he sold the Marina for some promises (Deleted by Editor.). I’ll say it again, all those people that supported Matt, even in the face of all the allegations that turned out to be true, should pay the town reparations. We have a public pavilion that is cheaply made and never open to the public. A lifeguard tower that leaks. A Marina, the bulk of which now belongs to a private company so much so that if you can find a parking spot, you have to pay for it. And that is just a small part of the legacy of horrors. Magovern, Brennan, Nicolay, Deicke, ******, and all the other citizens that vocally supported Matt even after being warned about his misdeeds…it’s time for a public apology.

  2. Is there another way to see the resolutions? The link isn’t working and I can’t find anything on the Belmar website.
