  1. Huge congratulations to Caitlin Donovan!

Our old buddy Mayor Matt Doherty sitting right up front taking pictures of one of the very best Belmar Council candidates/members getting sworn in. What a contrast in liberal convictions.
It reminds me of the old days when Mayor Falsifier tried to invoke the honesty and hard work of a colleague in a council meeting to prop himself up and counter one of his blatant “personal truths”; That didn’t go too well against the facts the following meeting. Oh well…
If Doherty thinks he can ride the coattails of Caitlin Donovan and polish his tarnished brand by looking like he had something major to do with her victory, he’s sorely mistaken.
Keep a close eye on the Far Lefties in Belmar in 2024 trying to pull the strings behind the scenes of council members who are finally “middle of the road”, sensible, and far from self serving. Belmar just lost another lawsuit for MILLIONS thanks to Doherty and his former cronies. Maybe all that money we collected from his “non-profit” for the rental of the Taylor Pavilion concession stands will make up for another hike in The Borough’s insurance premiums? Oh, wait, that’s right: Five dollars isn’t gonna cut it! When are we gonna stop giving away to the takers in town who have taken advantage of us for years? Is it still the fear of not getting invited to those future Corey Booker fundraisers on Inlet Terrace and rubbing elbows with the rich and woke? Is it the lack of knowing that “We, The People” are finally wresting power from the autocrats again and that momentum will continue in 2024?
As much as I admire and respect Caitlin Donovan and think she might even be our next Mayor, I also noticed her former campaign manager there. Someone should have asked Colleen Palus what we should do about all those whales and dolphins that keep washing up dead along Monmouth and Ocean County beaches. Oh, wait, I’m sorry; All that stopped about the same time that they halted the soundings for the offshore wind farms. Coincidence? Well, it did start at the same time the sonar blasts started but our “environmental councilman” at the time- Tom Brennan- said it was ocean temps, migratory patterns, and food source locale changes. Hey Tom! Get a shovel and get out there on Ocean Avenue and the boardwalk with Doherty after this coming weekend’s storm and shovel all the sand back onto the beach after the two of you “environmental cowboys” proposed “new and revolutionary, low profile dunes that other towns would want to adopt” after travelling to The Gulf Coast on an environmental junket to meet with good ole boys to see how “they do dunes”. HELLO McFLY!!?? We live on The North Atlantic, not the coast of Alabama last time we checked. There’s an institution just one county south that you may have heard of with a Marine Sciences division that could have told you how to “do dunes”. It’s called… wait for it… Rutgers University. If they aren’t far enough left for you Tom and Matt supporters, just go to that world renowned woke institution one county to the west and ask their oceanographic laboratory for the solutions. That place? That’s Princeton University! I’m sure the barbecue and hoe-down on the taxpayers dime was far better down South though. 😉
Keep an eye on these people in 2024 folks or we’ll still be paying their tabs in 2025 and beyond. In fact Colleen Palus showed up early last year at a meeting touting Booker’s, Murphy’s, and Biden’s windfarms and the leftist’s Green Energy Scam and asked that an “independent engineering study” be done on the “environmental impact of the 5G towers to shorebird habitats and whale migration”. Consequently, Dynamic Engineering, whose national headquarters is in Lake Como and has offices throughout the country is owned by her family. The same firm that said eliminating West Railroad Avenue as a public road and making it a private driveway for the formerly proposed Mediterranean Project wouldn’t have an effect on increased traffic on 8th Avenue between Route 35 and Main Street. Coincidence? When they eliminated the left turn across the tracks at the Senior Building years ago, THAT affected traffic backup! Anyone who lives on the north end could tell you that. They call that “common sense” and you don’t need to hire people with titles and suits to tell you those things at a premium in a small town. Just like the many folks here who realized before the addition of four-way stop signs that the very same constant offenders who didn’t stop at two-way stop intersections, were gonna use those new four ways as “yield-signs”. They’re gonna enforce $500 first time tickets for feeding geese though?!?
She gave a Harvard woke scientist’s testimony and said the 5G towers would interfere with whale migration?!? WTF?!? If the towers have to be placed every 200 meters because their microwave signals dissipate and are fully absorbed within roughly 400 meters, how are the whales’ navigation going to be affected by their transmissions? HELLO McFLY!?! Answer: They’re not!! Has anyone here ever seen a shorebird build a nest on the “dunes” next to our boardwalk? That’s another fantasy that never happens unless you’re north of Third Avenue, so the footprint of the towers doesn’t matter. Your Harvard scientist was paid off! The towers are simply an eyesore and not needed because they cater to tourists while ruining the aesthetics of the beachfront. When Doherty and Szeliga proposed WiFi on the beachfront years ago THAT planted the seed for these 5G towers as the systems evolved and the hardware for them became gross. Yes, Councilman John Szeliga left early before his term expired and moved to Spring Lake on the money of his… wait for it… Verizon stock options that he accrued as a top level executive with Verizon! Matt Doherty and his cronies; The gift that keeps on giving.
“Belmar is a microcosm of what is going on nationally.” Keep an eye on your local government this year folks and the two most dangerous animals to small towns- extreme environmentalists and extreme developers- because they are motivated by the same negative influences your state and federal “power brokers” are- fear, lack, ego, greed, tribalism, stupidity, and arrogance. Thank goodness Councilwoman Donovan hasn’t exhibited even an ounce of any of those traits. She’s awesome!! However, we’ll be keeping an eye on the puppeteers behind the scenes clawing for total party dominance this coming year; Don’t send us any duds as your nominees Belmar Democrats or we’ll expose them too.
Happy New Year from “Pappy No Fear” and The Sheepdogs; Turning out the facts about the power the people have regained from the autocrats and accelerating “The Great Awakening”. We’re not looking for friends, we’re looking for our liberty back from the tyrants. To all those who give me confidential information, keep it up! Maybe we can get the rest of the misguided and influential gentry of Belmar to move to Spring Lake- or better yet further down to Palm Beach or Key West- this year.
If you share your Christmas Wish out loud, does that mean it won’t come true..?

    1. I will say this. I rarely if ever agree with McEvoy. But in this case I agree on two points. Ms. Donovan seems nice and capable. Doherty on the other hand is a shameless human being. How he can show his face around town is beyond me. My advice for Ms. Donovan is to steer clear from Doherty because she will lose votes if she is in any way associated with him.

      1. I really don’t care what you think of me. My New Year’s Resolution is the same as the last two years; To be the very same Independent renegade @$$hole who brings the facts about the ongoing cronyism, graft, and B.S. in this town to light until it ends. The press isn’t gonna and most don’t have the courage to because they wouldn’t wanna lose “friends” who are enemies of the general public. 😉
It’s 2024; This year is gonna make 1968 look like child’s play geopolitically worldwide and it will affect Belmar profoundly. Belmar is a microcosm of what’s going on in the world. The elitists are on their way out soon.
Happy f@(&ing New Year! Buckle up!!

    2. That is a lot to unpack. It seems as though Mr Mac has been bottling up over the holidays and has finally popped the top like champagne.
It’s hard to follow the thread at times but I think you’re saying we should have proper dunes rather than no dunes, or short dunes, or temp dunes. If you are saying that, I agree. Bradley Beach has proper dunes and they don’t have 16 tons of sand on Ocean Ave after every storm (yes, Mr Brennan should get a shovel and start pushing the sand back on to the beach!) They also fared far better than us after Sandy. Brennan was against the dunes when they were proposed years ago. Personally, I think that makes him less of an extreme environmentalist and more of a *****. I also agree that Doherty is like an *********** *****. He will glom on to any one he feels might better his station. He has cost this town more money than we can even begin to calculate. And yes, this VZ tower plan was started way back when by former councilman Szeliga. I also agree that the true issue with the towers is simply the fact that they are hideous and unnecessary. I also feel that Donovan is a gem.
You lose me with the whale nonsense. There is zero evidence that whales were killed by sounding activity. The same process is used for oil exploration. Yet, for some reason, none of the whale band wagon environmentalists seemed concerned with that. Odd. We have more whales in proximity of an extremely busy port. I have lived in this area for nearly 60 years and I’ve seen more whales in the last 5 years than the previous 55 combined. That means an increase likelihood of dead whales. And the whale deaths didn’t stop at the same time the project was scrapped. There were months in between, plus I’m sure I don’t have to explain the difference between causation and correlation. There are plenty of reasons to be skeptical of off shore wind farms, whale deaths ain’t one of em. Whales are killed by oil spills, nitrogen levels from fertilizer (kills their food source), and good old fashioned pollution. All things that the new ‘wind kills whales’ crowd don’t seem to care about. So, you’ll forgive me if I see the whole movement as an exercise in hypocrisy. I also disagree with your assessment of the Belmar environmental commission. They do good work. The only significant beneficial changes to environmental protection occur through legislation. Unfortunately you can’t get people to stop littering until you make it illegal. There are way too many people who feel the world is their ashtray. And when laws are passed to help keep the planet clean, they freak out and call it an assault on their liberties. Ignoring the fact that we all live here together. And that every law, speeding, stop signs, murder, etc. are ALL technically an assault on their liberty. But we have to live together. We have to preserve this planet for future generations. And, unfortunately, that requires the passage of laws.
So all in all, I’d say I agree with about 65-70% of your comments. However, I am concerned that at some point over the next three years or so you will turn on Donovan. I think it’s likely, just based on a pattern. She’ll do or say something, either real or perceived, that will make her fall out of favor. Just a hunch.

      (Asterisks are mine, Editor.)

      1. No. The pattern you see in Belmar isn’t me turning on elected officials. It’s people getting elected and then getting a title, wearing a suit and tie and then them turning on the residents and becoming either arrogant, insidious liars, protectors of their cronies, or gatekeepers that slowly become autocrats. It’s not in her nature, nor is it in Councilman Levis’ or Councilwoman Rondinaro’s whom I’ve disagreed with and been upset with on a few issues but it’s only been on relative opinion and optics and the fact that they’re in charge and work tirelessly matters. As far as my issues with Doherty, Walsifer, Brennan, Kirschenbaum, and McCracken, that’s a character issue and an entire other level of behavior. Thanks for trying to predict my future though and making it personal- but as usual- anonymous. That takes true courage “Oh Great Personal Prognosticator of the Blogosphere”.

Let me be clear. The Belmar Environmental Commission does GREAT work! The fact that they left the Doherty/Brennan/Connelly and Walsifer/Kirschenbaum/McCracken Method of “If it ain’t our original idea and we can’t take credit for it, then we ain’t listenin’ to common sense solutions” for once and actually contacted Edgewater about how they dramatically alleviated their inundation of non-migratory Canada Geese was a huge win for Belmar. I applaud Colleen Palus for this.
Also, in Mr. Brennan’s defense, he was given the choice of sand replenishment OR dunes at the time and wisely chose replenishment. Right afterwards, a strip of the beach just a few yards away and parallel from the boardwalk should have been planted with dune grass and quartered off to “naturally” catch, retain, and build sand in 2013. Now, just over a decade later we would have had a natural, five foot high breakwater secured by a complex root system that folks on the boardwalk and residents on their second stories could still get a great view of the ocean from. Consequently it would have protected the boardwalk as well as the first floors of those folks on Ocean Avenue. We have subject matter experts here in town with oceanographic degrees that told The Borough this but hey, it just wasn’t the idea of those in “control”, just like those in “control” of Big Wind don’t want the facts getting out. The facts that the duty experts who make a living on the water each and every day and once supported Big Wind can tell you about the who, what, where, when, and most likely why whales were killed in specific locations offshore during specific times. I’m glad you took the time to speak to those folks who work out of places like Point Pleasant Beach and Brielle and spend 250-300 days offshore earning a living like I took the time to. I even gave former Councilman Brennan the benefit of the doubt and told him at a meeting last year that Russian subs pinging relentlessly in International Waters to harass our forces during the Ukraine War could very much be the reason. I haven’t turned on anybody; The facts have turned on them and if that stings, well then they shoulda worked harder at getting away from the Biden/Murphy/Booker Green Energy SCAM but their worship of false prophets disconnected them from the working man. I’m sure Booker’s cologne smells better from Inlet Terrace than the smell of fish laden Grunden’s on a soiled dock in Point Beach or Bogan’s Basin. The wake up call is coming hard and fast by mid-2024. The revealing of a LOT of past crooked transgressions by our governments worldwide who will unravel at every level is set to be unveiled shortly and it will be so profound that most will suffer ontological shock. 😉

        1. Ok ok. You probably won’t turn on her. I’m am sorry for prognosticating without a license.
Your whale death sources told you the time and place the whales died?? That is amazing. The marine biologists (I know I know, they’re on the take) articles I’ve read, plus books about whales all state that pin pointing a whale’s time of death, let alone a WHERE the death occurred is literally impossible. Sure you can kind of guess based on condition of carcass (some injuries may have occurred post modem) and calculating currents and wind. But you met people who can tell you where, when, and how they died. That is awesome. I apologize for relying on, you know, published work.
Everything else, we agree. Brennan could’ve had both the dunes and the beach replenishment. Bradley Beach did theirs with old Christmas Trees. Those are free. Brennan and those in control just didn’t want people to lose their precious view. Matt was against anything that might be a difficult decision. Keep the view, lose your house.
I am beyond excited for the great awakening. It feels like forever ago you mentioned that it’s coming. Mid 2024 is marked on my calendar!
I hope it’s more exciting than the Epstein list. Clinton, Trump, and Prince Andrew, big whoop.
Anyway, looking forward to my ontological shock. I usually like to have two a year.

    3. oh you were one of the 8 people who voted for the republican council candidate. i was wondering who they were

    1. Yeah. I’ve ripped off the town for years, threatened people, shook down business owners, and asked crooked politicians I’ve done favors for, for kickbacks and no-show overpaid jobs within their administrations. I’m so dirty and so shameless.
      WRONG!
All you anonymous cowards who keep trying to isolate the whistleblowers in town with your one sentence general responses here and bully us into silence should realize by now that it’s 2024 and you’re all failures. Go back to telling lies about how we were “campaigning” for future political appointments, never served, never volunteered in town, etc. Your best chance of degrading our contributions to furthering honest policies, the elimination of graft and corruption, and restoring personal liberties in Belmar is flat out lying about us, not the one sentence generalizations that you employ to try to get us to stop exposing the dirty and getting your shallow, narrow minded, attention w#%*e buddies to jump on The Blog and gang up and make things personal. The character assassinations failed in 2021 when trying to intimidate and degrade the Hines Family, in 2022 with an unprecedented election SWEEEP partially orchestrated by a small group of Veterans who exposed corruption, in 2023 with the showing that partisanship and cronyism on either side of the political spectrum would further be exposed, and your weak methods of bullying will continue to fail in 2024 as more and more nonpartisan critical thinkers continue to join the effort and speak truth to power. Once again history will show that Belmar is a microcosm of what is going on in the world.

        1. Mr Joe D, It’s not actually. But I understand your Chicken Little approach to life. When you sequester yourself, consuming only the media outlets that make great gobs of money by telling you that the sky is falling, you start to believe it. It’s why we still have cults. There is no end to the gullibility in some folks. I hope one day you learn to accept reality and replace the hatred and fear with love and appreciation.
