  1. Fair housing? Its all about the government putting people in neighborhoods they don’t belong financially. A true experiment in in human behavior. **********.

    (Asterisks are mine, Editor.)

    1. That’s a pretty gross and elitist statement. I hope you never find yourself in dire straights, you’d have to move because you no longer belong here. I’ll help you pack.

      1. LHD don’t waste your breath. ‘Joe D’ is so far down the brain wash rabbit hole, that he has become blind to his own hypocrisy. He happily accepts social security and Medicare, two very expensive government programs that pay him and give him medical care that would otherwise be way out of his grasp financially. He supports school vouchers, a program that literally uses government money to place kids in schools they ‘don’t belong in financially’. Haha. Ask him to explain the difference between that and affordable housing, and he just shudders and shouts some inane talking point he was told to say by the make up wearing, limo riding, failed actors he sees on Fox News.
He is among the many who accept all kinds of government assistance while pretending to hate the government. People who have been shouting for more ‘freedoms’ over the last four years, but remain oddly silent while the current president literally strips them away.

I’ve tried so many times to get through. I’ve pointed out his hypocrisy time and time again. I’ve used facts and figures to show him he’s been mislead. It only forces his head deeper into the sand of ignorance. I’ve gotten to the point where I can’t even blame him. Imagine dedicating that much time and energy into something that isn’t true. It has to be devastating. I’ve actually stated to feel bad for him. Crazy.

  2. Fair housing isn’t “the projects”. It is literally a formula applied to help working people (cops, nurses, teachers, manufacturing) afford decent housing. When the market totally dictates housing prices in a town like ours, it pushes out the middle class. Imagine your child, who grew up in town in the house that was actually affordable when you purchased it, wanted to start a family in Belmar. These programs help make that happen. By asking developers to provide a certain number of these units. There is nothing wrong with it and they still make a profit.
