Chapter 40-7.19 – “Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, no motor vehicle having a rated maximum gross vehicle weight (GVW) in excess of 18,000 pounds or having more than two axles, shall be parked or stored overnight on any occupied property which is primarily used for residential purposes or on any vacant property in a residentially zoned area, except for vehicles engaged in construction, parked or stored on an active construction site.”
Neither of those is enforced. Contractors park their vehicles near the train station in Belmar because Spring Lake won’t let them. Two nights of tickets and they’ll never park there again.
I agree. Currently two dumpsters on Main St. with no cones or reflectors as required by the ordinance. I’ve emailed the mayor and code enforcement but they never respond.
What an embarrassment the mayor was!! His tantrum was worse than my 4 year old. I can’t wait for him and Kevin Kane to be gone. I emailed Kevin several times beginning in January, and still have not received a response. I don’t think Jerry or Kevin give a crap about the town, its residents or employees.
Make sure you copy all the council members on emails that you send to Mr. Kane. They need to be aware of Mr. Kane’s lack of response. He makes a generous salary to be unresponsive.
I’ll try again with a blatant parking violation in our marina. I’ll address it to you Caitlin because you are on the harbor commission and aspire to be our next mayor. The black van parked in front of our marina office has been there for YEARS. It doesn’t move, I doubt if it’s registered but I do know who it belongs to, the ex police chief who has the row boat rentals. This winter there were mountains of snow pushed around it. It’s used to store flammable gas cans. I’ve called the police about it, nothing is ever done. It needs to go! Total abuse of our marina and limited parking.

the State of New Jersey does it’s best keeping things affordable for elderly with the “Senior Freeze” program … Belmar just sends seniors double-digit increase water & sewer bills … without consideration of alternatives.
Hahahahaha……and on the next episode of the RHONJ…..what a classless and clueless mayor. But at least he admitted what we all have known about this administration…..zero transparency.
