  1. Who Will be our Next Governor?
    ———————————————–
It doesn’t matter. The ****-****/******** ***** control the legislator and the supreme court. All they care about is free stuff.

    (Asterisks are mine, Editor.)

    1. I think that maybe used to be true (although there’s no such thing as ‘free’ stuff). As someone who enjoys the life saving benefits of Medicare, I’m sure you know what I mean.
Now, however, we have a radical executive branch that is looking to exert federal control over every aspect of your life, including ‘suspending habeas corpus’ (their words not mine). And half a legislative branch that is so afraid of angering the tin pot dictator that they allow him to ignore this country’s founding principles, and turn the other way when he blatantly tries to make money off the Oval Office. Doherty style.
So yea, anyone who shares the little letter with that crew, cannot be allowed to govern.

  2. Sherrill all the way. Navy vet and an amazing person.
Ciattarelli lost once already and is kind of a kook.

      1. Um, I really hate to break this to you. Oh wait, no I don’t.

Since Trump’s inauguration, the market has lost a total of $3.66 trillion dollars. 3.66 trillion. In case you don’t know what the market means, it’s investments, 401ks, etc. In other words…people’s money.

But, losing money is not that man’s only talent. The Trump administration has spent $200 billion more during this first 100 days than he did in the first 100 days of his last go ‘round.

Groceries overall cost more now than when Biden was in office. And the cost of other goods has gone up as well. Tariffs are taxes. Just a different name.

These are facts. I literally have less money now than I did six months ago. I’ve “watched it disappear” because we elected a Republican.

Sometime I think you are actually pretending. There is no way anyone can be that oblivious.

      1. Having that myopic a mentality is like saying “I don’t read or understand basic information”.

Mikie Sherrill isn’t Phil Murphy any more than Jack Ciattarelli is Phil Murphy. If you continue to vote party over person, you will continue to vote against your own interests. Sherrill is a strong, intelligent person who served her country in the Navy. She has more of an interest in the middle class and working class than Ciattarelli could ever have. He’s a career politician who has been trying, unsuccessfully, to be governor for the last decade.
And with the unmitigated nightmare of the Trump admin, we need someone who will fight against his Orwellian attempts to take away individual state sovereignty.
Stop the insanity of blindly voting party. There are good people and bad people on both sides of the aisle.

  3. Ciattarelli has run and lost for Gov for like the last 10 years. The guy’s a career politician. Literally.

    1. Oh please. We already have a racist misogynist in the WH. We don’t need one in the state house.

      1. Lord help us
        ——————-
Sir, the people I know in the “racist” (your word) community think of themselves as racialists. Don’t stereotype all racialists as bad people (as in any community, there are a few bad apples). There are many, wonderful, sweet, caring, patriotic racialists in our wonderful nation and I’m sure you support their constitutional right to be racialists or you’re a bad American. As far as your accusation that there’s a racist/racialist in the WH, could you tell us who it is?

        1. To answer your end question: yes, it’s the president. I am sure there are many other racists in the WH as well (Steven Miller for instance), but the president is one I was referring to. I thought that would be self evident, you know based on the things he says and does.

As for your hair splitting semantic excuse for being a racist. If you judge people based solely on the color of their skin or their race, you are a racist. You can try to dress it up (kinda cute actually) as racialist, but if it walks like a duck…
I absolutely, unequivocally support anyone’s constitutional right to be a racist. Even an unapologetic one, I also support anyone’s constitutional right to be what ever the heck they want to be. I doubt you do. However, just because I support your right to be a racist, doesn’t mean I think there are “good ones”. There aren’t.
We are all God’s children. The difference in skin tones or customs is based solely on societal conditions of geographic regions. Judging anyone on the color of their skin and not the content of their character is just plain lazy. It also helps people blame “others” for the problems in their own lives. It’s easier than self reflection.
But I get it, your entire identity is based on race (and gender), and the idea that we are all basically the same frightens you. It upends your comfort zone.
So, if it makes you feel better, call yourself a racialist. To paraphrase The Bard, a **** by another name would still smell bad.

  4. I saw a commercial where Ciattarelli goes all in on his love of “TACO”. Not a great strategy these days.
For those of you who only get your news from the media wing of the Trump administration, aka Fox News, TACO is the president’s new nickname. It was bestowed on him by Wall Street and it stands for ‘Trump always chickens out’.
Needless to say, TACO is extremely upset about this extremely accurate nick name.
Ciattarelli would do well to give ol’ TACO a wide berth. He is a liability with his attempts to wreck the economy for personal gain and his desire to circumvent the rule of law.

  5. Well, it’s happened. I predicted, on this very blog, back in Feb, that TACO and the African Queen would have a very public falling out. Here we are in early June and it’s happening in real time.
Musk said yesterday that Trump is all over the Epstein files (not surprising to a lot of us). And Trump threatened to cancel Musks very lucrative government contracts (that’s right, the guy in charge of gov waste gets billions and billions from the government).
It’s fun to watch. The hardest part is deciding which piece of s*#% to root for.
