First, I couldn’t have said it better myself. Second, I count at least three references to socialism in that statement. If you honestly don’t understand that publicly owned and/or controlled services, facilities, and institutions are literally forms of socialism…well then I don’t think we should argue. It wouldn’t be fair.

Public bathrooms are paid for by every taxpayer. They are paid for by the “public”. As I pointed out, it’s one example of many, but yes, it’s a form of socialism. If it was pure capitalism, it would be owned privately, and you would pay $5 every time you needed to use it.
I’ve said this before, but it is really disturbing that this needs to be explained to adults. But it does explain the state of the country.
Hey Josie, are the bathrooms down on the beach? No, they’re not. They are public facilities located on the public boardwalk. No one pays to use them. And, what (paradoxically) makes them a form of socialism is that we ALL pay for them whether we use them or not.
