Sweeney says ‘thousands of ballots recently found”

Anybody else tired of the “recently found ballots” Song?

  1. I actually think this is good. It gives Trump fans a glimpse into how profoundly stupid this argument is. I’m sorry about your ego Mr Sweeney, but you lost. I don’t like it anymore than you do but the election results stand. It’s time to be an adult and gracefully accept defeat. Contact your opponent, concede the election, and then move one. Perhaps try to learn something about your constituency as well as yourself.
See how easy that is folks? Perhaps if there wasn’t a precedent set as to how easy it is to try to hang on to power by just pretending that you won, we wouldn’t have to deal with this nonsense.

  2. Oops I’m sorry. It’s bad when a Democrat claims that he didn’t lose even though he did, but it’s ok when a Republican claims he didn’t lose even though he did. It hard to follow along sometimes. I thought irony would put up more of a fight before it was snuffed out so unceremoniously.

  3. Our elections are the joke. Security is extremely lax. Need to show a vaccine card to get into a restaurant but no ID needed to vote. Both sides are to blame and the people suffer.

  4. #9 do you remember registering to vote? It’s a process needing ID and proof of address etc etc. Fairly rigorous in the state of NJ. Once you are registered, you are then in the rolls and can vote by saying your name. There are watchers from both parties present and if one or both of them question you are who you say you are, you either produce a valid ID or fill in a provisional ballot that is not counted until verified. If you show up to vote but notice that someone already voted, as you, you would of course cry foul and again, that vote would be flagged and a provisional ballot would be filled out. If you voted, then a few hours later someone tried to vote as you, that person would be flagged (in this town this size probably by everyone in the room) and the vote wouldn’t count. I don’t know why people complain that you don’t need ID to vote. You do need an ID and proof of citizenship and proof of address in order to register to vote. The voting system we have, although not perfect, is actually very accurate and, despite every state having a different system (states rights!!), it’s also efficient. Our biggest problem is the embarrassing amount of registered voters who simply don’t vote. If we hit 50% that is huge.

  5. #8 here’s real for ya. Not only does everyone know he lost. Trump himself knows he lost, he’s said as much. But as PT Barnum said, there’s a sucker born every minute. And Donnie has that idiom memorized and has been exploiting it since the days of desperately begging Liz Smith to mention him in her NY society column. Maybe one day you get clarity and, out of embarrassment, pretend you knew he was full of it the whole time. Like most suckers do.
