(Most Belmar outside cats are the result of temporary residents, summer and winter, leaving them behind when they move. So important to get them fixed to stop the cycle. Belmar participates in the Monmouth County SPCA TNR program, Editor.)
Not exactly, admin. Most landlords don’t allow pets. The outside cats in my neighborhood, there are many and they are bird killers all, all come from year round resident’s houses. Some have two, three, and even four cats.
It’s easy, and fun, to blame all our woes on transient folks, and they are super annoying, but a lot of our problems are home grown.
Council meetings devolving into ******* matches between those on the dais. The theatrics between both parties are not fooling anyone. Everyone is in it for themselves.
How does one in his own words who has pages of OPRA requests not happy with residents or employees submitting OPRA requests?
His blatant gaslighting of a long winded “explanation” of the $100 hr pt employee was nothing but (Deleted by Editor.)
Some of his words sounded a bit threatening to the employee who had every right to submit an OPRA request for what is public information. Are residents and employees not allowed to communicate with council members? I must have missed the ordinance stating the Mayor must be cc’d on all communication.
I do recall many council meetings where residents complained about not receiving responses from the Mayor or the BA. And we all know he and the BA keep the council members in the dark.
He also stated that payroll is just a minor portion of HR….ok so we only need one for HR/Payroll just as we have always had!
Why does everyone care about this sign so much? We have too much visual noise in town, it’s just another distraction. I don’t need more ads or lights in my face. Take it down and improve the sightline coming in and out of the marina.
What’s laughable is when BA Kane told the gentleman about the beach locker wait list, “I’ll look into in and get back to you!”
Hard Dee har har har😂😂
Good luck with that one!
According to BA Kane, there were multiple lists for beach lockers and they were consolidated into one list. That is exactly the complaint of the citizen. There were multiple lists because each Avenue had its own list. Now there is one and if you live on 2nd Ave and a locker opens up on 20th Ave, you either have to take it or get moved to the bottom of the list again. Makes zero sense!!
And outside cats kill them also

going back to the Egyptians … 1000’s of years … humans have been breeding cats … trying to eliminate their ‘killer instinct’ … without success
RIP

Stupid people do stupid things. Leaving cats outside is a stupid thing.

Amen
Each side grandstanding.
Politicians will do and say anything to get and keep their jobs.
The Mayor must not be aware of the whistleblower act. Didn’t he say he was HR for many years?

Very informative presentation by the lifeguards. They really do a lot to keep us safe. Thank you
Unrelated. Mr. Kane when will the town sign be repaired on Hwy 35 and 10th avenue? It’s been out for months! Unacceptable.
That sign was a dumb idea from the getgo.
The sign is polluted and it will take a 4 year environmental study before we can plan to fix it.

Isn’t the purpose of this blog to post the comments for all to see?
Can someone please tell me that the bathroom on 16th avenue isn’t costing 1.8 million dollars??

That is dumb.
I’m still trying to understand why they just don’t build more lockers. They’re boxes. Make more.
