  1. Go down to Emilio’s Kitchen on Main Street and ask the head chef about his time at Delaney. Not all immigrants are illegal, yet they are being rounded up regardless. Some of them have work visas and have been here legally for many years. He and his brother are business owners, started in Atlantic Highlands and chose to open a new location in Belmar, allow you to have a nice night out in town and a delicious meal from a country you may never go to. These are the people this help is intended for.

    1. If they have been here for years, why no green card? A work visa does not make you a permanent resident.

    1. I keep posting this but the admin keeps blocking it. No idea why but I’ll try one more time.
We spend $2.1 billion dollars on veterans in NJ alone. What Sherrill is asking for is 1% of that.
So, your question, which I assume was intended to be a rhetorical attempt at pretending we don’t spend enough on vets, is a question you should’ve researched first.

(That $2 billion number, according to the Blog research staff, is for Federal Spending in New Jersey. Not State of New Jersey spending. Commenters can post links with other information in comments, Editor.)

  2. Me. She’s representing me. I’m an American citizen and I am embarrassed when masked federal agents incarcerate US citizens without due process. It’s wrong. And there is literally no argument that can justify it.
Thank you Gov Sherrill. This is exactly why you were elected.

    1. I’m embarrassed by her and her protection of ILLEGALS…..period end of story…..due process????? Due process is earned when you come here legally….DUH

  3. Duh, Josie Whales, and my favorite, Dumbocrats

They are US citizens. According to Congress, 170 US citizens have been swept up and incarcerated during ICE raids. They are held without charges.

If you guys are ok with that, there’s nothing I can say. You probably would have loved East Germany in the 70s.

Lastly, any person on US soil, whether here illegally or not, has a right to due process as outlined in the 5th amendment in the constitution.

I love this country. And I show it by understanding how it works.
You should all give it a try sometime.

    1. 170 US citizens detained is unfortunate … but, the 170 number is a very small error rate … when considering 10 million+ crossed the border illegally.
