Brennan said the ideal place for a pot shop would be rt 35 in Wall Twsp. But unfortunately Wall passed a very strict ordinance banning it as did other surrounding towns so unless belmar gets its act together the “less than ideal Belmar” will become the most ideal place come Aug.
Personally, I think the fear of a marijuana store is overblown. I think part of the reason it is being legalized is because it is more like alcohol than harder drugs. I understand the concerns, but I think it would be ok if one opened. (Maybe not ok, but at least not worse than a liquor store opening)
