I don’t know why you think that name is an insult. I think it is a catchy name for a former bank site. I guess some people will always find something to complain about.
#1- 100% correct, I think it’s a nice remembrance to the prior bank building, I don’t see any insult in it.
I agree with you people just complain about everything.
A name is a name, with its many definitions and uses. This one may be disturbing:
What is a vault for a grave?
A burial vault is a lined and sealed outer receptacle that houses the casket. It protects the casket from the weight of the earth and heavy maintenance equipment that will pass over the grave. It also helps resist water and preserves the beauty of the cemetery or memorial park by preventing the ground from settling.
It’s a cool name. The post doesn’t explain why she thinks it’s ‘adding insult to injury’. I agree that there is too much development happening in Belmar. Not because I’m against development per se, it’s that the town officials are a little too rubber stampy with the projects before them.
Hey wait, ‘The Rubber Stamp’. That would be a great name for the complex. Seriously though, I think it’s a cool name.
Take 5th Avenue for example, it’s one of the more beautiful streets in Belmar and it has 3 condo units between Ocean Ave. and B Street. The structure they are proposing is much nicer than most of the existing condo units. I don’t understand why people are complaining. You should be relieved to get rid of yet another hideous structure. Please keep moving forward. Free your mind.
6: The same administration that started what you’re complaining about brought with your tax money and your approval is the monstrosity of design and waste if not more, the Taylor Pavilion.
I am very curious on why this name is so offensive to her— anyone have any ideas. If these are the things she thinks are important to take issue with I certainly hope she does not get elected in Nov. I don’t want my tax money and resources wasted in her attempts to rename other peoples private property. There is nothing offensive in the name at all and this just shows she is focused on all the wrong things. Think before you vote people
#10. Haha. Yea the other council members are all geniuses. Keep voting for the people that want this town to look like Reno. She just mentioned she doesn’t like the name. That’s a problem? Not allowed to have an opinion? She also doesn’t like what’s being built there. And she is not alone there.
How long will it be before the lefties on this blog take over and put Belmar on the downturn? Note NYC, 👎; Philadelphia, 👎? Would you go there now? Even The JC crowd doesn’t return anymore. There’s reasons why and you all know it. It’s crime stupid and the same goes for the Belmar Inn. When is enough ENOUGH. Remove that disaster with the idyllic pink painted bricks and not so nice and tidy residents will scurry out of that sows ear for 👍. You are a lying hypocrite if you think your family should reside in that pit

No appreciation for improvement apparently, bearing in mind that long term investment in Belmar are being made for the future.

What Administration(s) were involved in this project? Political tether ball 2022

I think it a very clever name. It’s a shame this is the best a “candidate” has to offer….it’s almost as foolish as her comments at council meetings.

#11 – I hope you’re not criticizing a female woman of the human species. After all, they’re one of the select, favored, victim groups.
