From the Public Notice dated June 12, 2023

Construction Permit Application
Electrical Subcode and Building Subcode
Certification in Lieu of Oath
I did not realize until recently,
that the 800 numbers on Main Street run from 8th to 10th,
so I am not sure which building is 917 or if it is in the Plaza,
Editor.
It looks like the building that has Belmar Chiro and the Jewelry Repair place in it with residential on top.
Where was that public notice posted?
What I do not understand is that 917 Main Street, Block 96, Lot 3 is in the Seaport Redevelopment Plan, would this not be something required to be presented to Mayor and Council and the technical review board, and the whole process? The problem that is being created here is that a cell tower going on an old building (1900 according to the property tax card) is that Verizon is going to pay the property owner a big amount of money in rent and nothing will ever change with the building and it will become a situation like with the Mayfair where they are making so much money off of the communication towers they don’t need to do anything to keep up their building it falls into disrepair and the owner likely doesn’t live in Belmar just has all the checks sent to their po box. At the very least I would think that being in the SRD Zone the Mayor and Council and reviewing boards should be given the plans and specs for what this tower will look like.
To Curious, I found the notice in the Legals in the Asbury Park Press, and put in an OPRA to verify and get the corresponding documents.
900 Block building rooftops are populated with cannister cell antennas … some are held in-place by weights … not really part of the buildings
