And this, kids, is why it’s important to actually read the article. Not just the headline. The governor’s proposal is to loosen red tape so that more houses can be built. The theory being that more inventory will stabilize costs. It’s what is sometimes called a free market solution.
There is no mention of affordable housing mandates. Just incentivizing more building.
I know I know. It’s so much easier to just be mad at the governor. I guess some on this blog would rather she tears down part of the governor’s mansion to build an obnoxious ball room.
