Did Trump and Hochul make a Wind Turbine/Gas Line deal?

Articles like this are all over the internet, saying the same thing.
That Trump made a deal with Governor Hochul, and will now allow a massive
offshore wind turbine project to resume, in return for New York allowing much
needed natural gas pipelines to be installed.

  1. Well, if I know the Trump cult, and I think I do, they will now be all for offshore wind. The best thing about being a cult leader is that no matter how many times you flip flop on literally everything, your followers just change their minds and support you. Trump could come out in support of human trafficking and his fans will find ways to explain that these people are better off being trafficked.

    It is comical.

      1. Anon, do ME a favor and point out one single instance where Trump flip flopped on an issue (dozens of examples to choose from), and his fawning followers didn’t flip flop right along with him.

If you’re not willing (or able) to do that, then do me another favor, shut up.

        1. Wait. Didn’t Kamala flip flop on Fracking, healthcare, immigration, secure border, etc, etc, etc!!

          1. Yes she did! Were you ok with it? No you weren’t! So it’s not ok for Harris to flip flop but it is ok for Trump to flip flop. Is that your point?
You know it used to be that only children revert to what aboutism.

So, I say it again more slowly this time: Trump cultists blindly follow their leader no matter how many times he reverses his stance.

Meanwhile groceries are at an all time high and the war in Ukraine rages on. I guess “day one” can mean “probably never” when you are the Jim Jones of the political class.

          2. So….the leader of the “law and order” party, that’s the Republican Party for those of you too young to remember when the GOP would never elect a criminal, just pardoned the Chrisleys.
Yes, that’s the reality TV couple that pretends to be Christian while making themselves rich by lying cheating and stealing. They were convicted in 2022 due to a mountain of irrefutable evidence.
Mr Trump just freed them. I’m not even gonna ask for an explanation from you maga nuts because you either won’t give one or you’ll say they were convicted because they were Christian. Which is like saying Jeffery Dalmer was convicted because he was hungry.
Economy in shambles, an embarrassment to the world, wars still raging, secret battle plans being sent to journalists, an attempt to remove checks and balances, prices through the roof, a new bill that will put this country into more debt than we’ve EVER seen, and a clear and present cognitive decline.
At what point do you reality star fan club ****** say to yourselves, “oh my, what have we done?”
This is just like the days of Doherty in Belmar. Even after everything terrible thing he did to enrich himself at the cost of our community, there were voters who still thought he was great.
            Wake up!!!!!

            (Asterisks are mine, Editor.)

  2. Just 15 miles east of Long Branch … Empire 1 won’t supply a single watt of power to New Jersey … but it would be seen from the high rise buildings.

  3. 23 miles south of Long Island. We could be getting watts to NJ but we believe in the boogie man. NY didn’t crumble to the fake media stories. BTW, the lease for this was obtained in 2017 (I can’t recall, who was president in 2017? Of right, the Orange me$$iah!)
This will power over 500k homes in NY. Renewable energy. No oil, no coal, no Middle East conflicts, no oil soaked ducklings. Imagine that.
We could have something like it but the deep pockets of the oils companies created a marketing campaign about whales dying from sonar. And, as usual, the brain dead internet addicts lapped it up.

    1. Now, New York can take a bath in the ocean. New Jersey went hook, line and sinker with Orsted.

JCP&L electric rates increase 20% on June 1st with the smart meters.

      1. Not sure you can condemn renewable energy AND complain about rate increases on conventional energy.
You may pick one or the other.

Orsted settled w NJ, so they had to pay us 125 million for pulling out of the deal. I don’t know how one can categorize that as hook line and sinker. They likely pulled out because the people like the Koch brothers financed a nonsense marketing campaign accusing sonar (used every day by the navy, scientists, ocean floor mappers, and oil exploration) of killing whales. The ignorant masses, who refuse to apply even the simplest logic to the conspiracy theories they lap up like thirsty puppies, believed it.
So, we either give renewable energy a chance, or we don’t. If we don’t, then please don’t complain about utility prices. Can’t have your cake and eat it to.

        1. with a 7kw solar array on the roof … I pay JCP&L $4.72 a month for a meter that measures in 2 directions.

JCP&L pays me for the power produced that is excess to my needs.

          no complaints here

          1. That’s great. Please don’t tell the anti renewable energy crowd. They hate it when you talk about using the sun and the wind to power stuff. They have very strong feelings for fossil fuels. To the point where they have no problem with the trillions in tax payer subsidies that go to oil companies, but they get crazy about the millions that go to renewable energy subsidies. It’s mathematically nonsensical. But then again, they are logically nonsensical.
