  1. Anita Buckley’s comment about cost of renting and affordable housing in Belmar (Belmar Housing Authority) is on point. She nails it about conditions at BHA. For the past few years tenants have been pushing for facade repairs. Recently tenants researched NJ Weatherization Assistance Program for grants to replace apartment windows.
The window frames are dysfunctional .. many frames are bent/twisted allowing cold air drafts in apartments. Many tenants cannot open / close their windows. Exec Director said funds are available to replace the windows. When?
Next month? Next year? Let’s get these windows installed
immediately. Good quality windows installed correctly.

    1. money is available from the BPU “Community Solar Program” … the building is a good candidate for facade solar panels … the BPU may pay to replace the south facing facade … to make the building more sustainable

      1. Thank you for sharing … will do more research .. to present at next BHA meeting July 7th 5:15pm.. The meeting is open to the public.
