  1. If there are any Trump supporters left, please watch his UNGA speech. Watch the whole thing if you can.
If, after watching it, there is a single one of you that can honestly say that he has command of all his faculties, I would love to hear your explanation.
The truth is, that was the most bats^*% crazy rambling nonsense ever uttered. It made Sleepy Joe Biden look like Winston Churchill. All kidding aside, this man has clearly lost it. It is now officially dangerous to allow him assess to nuclear codes, or to let him speak publicly. And, before you ask, yes I feel the same way about the dangers of having Biden at the helm.

  2. NJ P.L. 2023, c.293 was passed to address unsightly cables in NJ municipalities. The town should also be contacting the Board of Public Utilities for contractor non-compliance with cleaning up unsightly cables.

I could not agree with the gentleman that spoke, the overhead wires and unsightly cable/ethernet lines is unsightly and the town needs to take action.

    1. Agree.
We should have cables underground. Wind storms and and blizzards wouldn’t affect the lines if they’re underground.
If you look at a photograph of suburban neighborhoods when electricity was first introduced, the poles and cables look exactly the same as today. It’s ridiculous
And yes JCP&L should pay for it.

      1. JCP&L, Optimum and Verizon have ‘overhead’ franchises in Belmar.

JCP&L wires are at the top of utility poles. Optimum’s cable & fiber is below JCP&L and the lowest is Verizon with copper & fiber.

the lower attachments to utility poles are ugly.

        1. Yes, my point exactly.
It’s 2025, let’s move this stuff underground, JCP&L. And as for cable, do people still have cable?

          1. check your JCP&L electric meter … all the Smart Meters seen in Belmar have a horizontal BLUE code strip.

JCP&L is our friend … Belmar Fiber Blight is OPTIMUM & VERIZON.

          2. I agree about Verizon and optimum.
But what are all the electrical lines on all the polls all over town? Are they not JCP$L? If no, well that’s news to me and thank you for clearing that up. But if yes, then my statement still stands, they should pay to bury everything.

          3. Based on what?
All the underground lines that are servicing inlet terrace are themselves serviced by traditional pole lines. Pole lines that are damaged by tree limbs in even moderate winds.
Lines are better underground. JCP&L just doesn’t want to pay for it.

        2. check JCP&L’s BPU residential tariff … the cost of the service drop and meter set is the customer’s responsibility.

If underground, the customer also pays for trenching, PVC conduit and pole riser.

          1. Again, I feel that the wires should be buried and JCP&L should pay for it. Customer tariffs be damned.

I understand that they would try to make us pay for it. My point is that THEY should pay for it.

            Not rocket science.

  3. Would someone explain the whole skate park plan to me. There WAS a skate park but it was torn down because the Walsifer admin said the insurance wouldn’t cover it any more. Ok. So why would insurance cover a new, bigger park?
And speaking of big, the estimate for this puppy is between 1.2 and 1.5 million. The fundraising effort has been going on for about three years and looks like they’re at around $40 thousand. Some quick math reveals that if they keep up that pace, they’ll hit 1.2 mill in about 78 years.
Which brings me to my last question: what happens to all that money if they don’t hit their goal? They could triple what they’re doing now and it would still take 25 years. I don’t think they can give the money back to each individual, or can they? Anyway, just curious.

    1. (Deleted by Editor.)
I agree they will never get to their goal of 1.5million. Which is an insane amount of money. Then they have to pay the insurance, which one can assume is more than monthly mortgage payment.
