Equinor Empire Wind Project is still moving forward –

There are too many foreign companies invested in destroying our Ocean Floor and our Beautiful Coastline. They can never be restored.

  1. Ok folks, let’s get some perspective here. For some reason I’ll never understand, the right, fueled by propaganda paid for by the powerful fossil fuel companies, is super anxious about wind turbines. Pretending to care about the ocean floor and beautiful coast line.
Currently there are 550 working offshore oil rigs in the US alone. Currently there are 4 (four!!!) Off shore wind farms in the US alone.
Now, if everyone is truly against the destruction of the ocean floor and the obstruction of coastal views, the they should be (but aren’t) 137 times more upset about offshore oil rigs.

Can we please stop this game of make believe anger? It’s embarrassing.

  2. How do these folks feel about the regime opening up the pristine wilderness of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge for oil and gas drilling? Or maybe because we can’t see it from the beach, it doesn’t matter to them?

    1. Bingo.

This renewable energy debate is about as insane as you can get. The right has been co-opted by the fossil fuel industry. Bought and paid for shills for their nonsense propaganda. The shocking part, and even the oil industry is probably shocked by this, is how easy it was to fool everyone.

  3. How do they get the power to the shore? Think about that. Its not just wind turbines but also massive cables and power distribution facilities. (The cables will cause beach erosion.)

I really enjoy looking at the ocean horizon with no wind turbines. You will absolutely see these. If u love the beach and ocean you would not advocate for these turbines.

Wind is not a good investment. Id rather see more solar on large buildings.

  4. The first offshore wind project was a “test” off of the coast of Block Island, RI. This happens to be in direct sight of my summer home. I have first hand witnessed the failure of this project. In the past 5 years, at least 1 of the 5 has not spun. Most of the time it is 2 of the 5 do not operate. There is no available data on how much energy this “test” has produced, yet they continued on with a massive project in the ocean to the North of this very site. I have contacted every available resource, author of articles on its success, Deep Water(The original Owner), National Grid, and even the Block Island Electric Commissioners. Zero data has been shared. This “test” is a failure, please stand up for our Ocean!

    1. Standing up for the ocean means fighting against off shore oil rigs with just as much fervency. If not, then it’s just old fashioned hypocrisy.

  5. More interested in protecting Belmar environment?

On February 15, 2023, Governor Phil Murphy signed Executive Order No. 316 to target to install zero-carbon emission space heating and cooling systems in affordable housing. Planned low-to-moderate income dwellings to be electrification-ready by the year 2030.

With all of the Belmar affordable housing plans, ask your elected officials if heat pumps would be installed?
Affordable housing should not come at the expense of degraded local air quality.

    1. Careful Mr Creamer, the **** on the right will start to think you’re a socialist.
You’re right, as usual, but these folks left reason and intellect at the altar of Trump.
