  1. This is pointless!!!
We have plenty of bathrooms. We’re gonna build a permanent structure on the sand because people are lazy?
I’m looking forward to the day it gets demolished by a storm and we all pretend that it had sentimental value and must be rebuilt. All in the name of political *****.
It feels like the Doherty days.

    (Asterisks are mine, Editor.)

      1. Certainly true. If I have to pee more than others, I would make sure I went to a beach that already has a public restroom.

Perhaps we should have the government install public bathrooms on every single block. We don’t want anyone having any kind of hardship after all.

  2. This is less offensive – and more practical – than the owner of Dolce Vita building a 4 story complex with a 60 car parking garage on his existing lot on 4th and Ocean

    1. There are bathrooms on 5th. If you can’t walk two blocks to use the facilities, go to the beach at 5th.

Why is everyone demanding bathrooms all over the place? Every single other beach community has like 2-3 total. Avon has one. Stop with the whining.

      1. Avon has 2 permanent bathrooms, not one.
One just off of Washington Ave entrance and the other at the far north end by the gift shop.

        1. So sorry, Avon has two. SL has two.
So, as I’ve argued, Belmar’s current bathroom situation is perfect. No need for permits are public funds.

  3. the DPW & PD did a good job moving all the bathroom trailers to the Marina … the NJDEP only requires movement when the Gov declares a “storm emergency”
