Another first for the Walsifer, McCracken, Carvelli, Wann and Kirschenbaum (the unelected sixth member of the Council) administration. I believe the east side of Ocean Avenue historically has been the only place in Belmar where parking meters were ever in use. (I’m sure if I’m mistaken someone will point it out.) Now, in the pursuit of more money (to spend on giving cronies un-entitled benefits, oh yes, some in the administration know what I’m talking about and paying for the borough run first aid squad) paid parking begins its encroachment into residential areas (on May 1st!!! why not Memorial Day weekend?). This year it’s Silver Lake, Lake Como. Next year, paid parking for all streets between Ocean Ave and B street? Again why not?! There’s no end to the nickel and diming of residents. Let’s see, there are the new fees for buying badges ($2 for a season badge), the $50/quarter fee for back houses and apartments not having a water meter (why? Wasn’t the 15% rate increase enough?) , the increase water usage rates for higher volume users such as restaurants and bars (Walsifer is a strong supporter of businesses NOT), and the $2/hour fee for the new zoned parking, when, by the way, the oceanfront parking costs only $1.00 per hour. Where will it end?

It will end when you and others vote these people out, just like we voted the prior admin. out. They all think they’re Democrats. Tax and spend. How bout cutting spending. That’s a solution. Stop the $83k a year. un-needed, crony jobs. Stop bending over in front of these greedy developers. Stop taking our money (in taxes) and wasting it on crap. Let me decide where to spend my money. Lower my taxes like Lake Como continues to do, year after year after year. I am tired of them using my money to subsidize neighboring towns. Vote them out starting now.

it is easier for license plate recognition equipment to capture diagonal parking space usage … without leaving the vehicle … Lake Como, Silver Lake and River Avenue are natural extensions to Ocean Avenue’s diagonal parking.

the West side of Ocean Avenue had parking meters until they became too costly to maintain … they took quarters only.

Where’d the $544K the boro got from the government go???? And they need more money to spend (waste)? Hire Housemen’s wife to be his secretary at $75K. Makes sense to me. The more money you give to these politicians, the more they waste on friends and families. I’m tired of it.

The hiring of do nothing Drew Huisman is a slap in the face to every taxpayer in Belmar. Just like Frank Cincelli. Over 150k of wasted money for do nothing jobs with take home vehicles. Makes me sick.

Cinelli does nothing but stop home ten times a day in his little black boro vehicle. I think it’s the one bought for the beach front badge manager. Let’s see if he gives it back. I’m sure it was bought with beach fund money. Another scam.

I guess you have to be an ex cop to get paid to do nothing. Kirshbaum, Hiseman, Cincelli and Parmisano. Useless

Yes, the little black boro vehicle was purchased for beachfront use last summer. I don’t know if beach utility $$ was used or not, or if they are allowed to use that as a regular boro vehicle in the off-season if it was.
