I’m glad Cuomo is gone. I liked Kathy Hochul for about 5 minutes until she appointed that guy to the Lt governor position who is for defunding the police!
Whatever happened to hiring the most qualified person for the job as opposed to what they looked like complexion-wise or where they were from or who they knew?
#2 Well since the dawn of the industrial age people were mostly hired and promoted based almost solely on where they’re from, what they looked like (complexion-wise), and who they (or their daddy) knew. So I’m not sure why you think it’s a new phenomenon. Being rich, white, and a dude was pretty much all you needed to succeed. Since that went on for well over a century, I get that it seems odd now that women and people of color are starting to get those top jobs. Maybe if this trend continues for well over a century, rich white guys will make a come back. If not, they had a pretty good run and should be proud.
#5 Hahah. Yes, me pointing out the power imbalance that this country (the world really) has had over the last few centuries is creating decisiveness. I apologize, I guess we should all just keep our mouths shut. I couldn’t help but notice you didn’t refute any of the irrefutable things I said, but that’s cool. You just sort of gave me the equivalent of putting a finger in each of your ears and shouting “lalalalala!!”.
Btw, the ‘divisiveness’ you speak of is being caused by the folks who’ve benefited from the power structure for soooo long. They are a little reluctant to give it up. Not that I blame them. I can’t imagine it’s a lot of fun being marginalized. But I wouldn’t know.
#3- Sucks to be a white dude these days I guess. Blame it all on their ancestors, or Donald Trump or Covid. That’s the flavor of the day. Oh, and by the way, they tried affirmative action but apparently it too was found to be racist, just like the white dude.
#7 haha. I don’t think you need to blame Covid. Covid is a virus. And viruses, like storms, floods, and droughts, don’t have an agenda. They are indiscriminate. Trump? Not his fault but what a great example of white privilege. Gifted 100 mill from daddy, was able to dodge the draft thanks to daddy, breaks the law with impunity, etc etc. Biden, another example.
Affirmative action is a start but there’s almost too far to go. Was only about 53 years ago black folks couldn’t walk into the same church, restaurant, restroom, as whites. That’s the kind of thing someone like the perpetually angry Tucker Carlson would NEVER get over. But what’s good for the goose is rarely good for the gander.
