Councilwoman Caitlin Donovan has obtained new information about the Zoning/Floodzone/Building Height regulations from the NJ DEP that were discussed at the last council meeting, previously scheduled to go into effect July, 2026. It is known as the Resilient Environments and Landscapes, or REAL, originally set in place by Governor Murphy. These have now been pushed back a year by Governor Sherrill.
Listen to Zoning Board Chairperson Mark Fitzgerald read a statement about this at the beginning of the meeting.
Both applications were approved.
