Yes! Well you are allowed to be American and be an atheist, so faith isn’t a requirement. And of course there are many Americans who don’t have a family. And yes, that’s ok too. Freedom is good. Every American gets freedom. Well not EVERY American, but certainly a lot of us do.

Anyway, Happy 4th to ALL Americans whether you have kids or not, whether you are Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindi, agnostic, atheist, or whatever, whether you are free, whether you are part of a segment that aren’t free due to legislation, and regardless of what side of the aisle you live.
Diversity is what makes us great.
Homework assignment for civics. Look up the difference between democratic socialists (FDR was one) and communism. You’ll find, to your astonishment no doubt, socialism is basically an expansion of programs we already enjoy. Medicare, social security, national parks, libraries, social safety net programs. Where as communism is a complete take over of the state where private property is taken away and a strong man usually emerges making a fortune off the backs of the workers. Laws banning books and certain behaviors are passed under the guise of patriotism. Ideas and critical thinking are labeled “extremism”. And that ironically named strong man (because he is usually very weak) begins to rewrite history, white washing the events that are upsetting to him, and then begins building monuments to himself while demanding loyalty from all.
Hope that helps everyone. Democratic socialism IS a threat, not do democracy, but to the wealthy and powerful elite whose expensive leather shoes are pressed firmly on our necks. Yes the wealthy and powerful elite on both sides of the aisle.
