    1. This was based on polls. While I agree with you about the news, this is more public opinion stuff and less about media manipulation.

  1. Are you joking? It needs explaining? Trumps approval ratings are in the low 30s. It’s really only the maga cultists (the extreme fanatics) who are left.

  2. trump isn’t doing well in nj.

As we used to say in the 60s – “No —T GI?”

    Who wood’a thunk it?

    1. Trump won’t do well because NJ is top of the chain for stupid Democrats. SPENDING TONS OF MONEY ON ILLEGIALS AS COMPANIES LEAVE. NJ is done. I’m selling my house in Neptune and heading for NC.

      1. Omg yes!!!! Thank you!!!!

Here’s a fun reality. You’ll get more for your house than you ever thought you would because NJ is ranked the 2nd best state to live in (admin keeps blocking that info for some reason) and people want to live here.

Lastly, YOU DON’T EVEN LIVE IN BELMAR?!?!?!? Wow. Shouldn’t you be complaining about everything on the Neptune Blog? And lastly lastly, you’ll complain about NC too. My guess.

    1. Probably because the question kept getting answered and the folks on here aren’t crazy about the answer.

    2. Because this blog is republican based. We need Dave back, he ran a good blog and let all parties and people speak freely. That’s why he had the traction with his blog. Ever since Sandy took it over it’s gone to shit and only comments or opinions she approves of will be posted.
She should just stop taping the meetings too because they can be found on the Borough’s YouTube. Apparently she needs something to do, I just wish it was something other than being the moderator of this once helpful and informative blog.

  3. Oh sure, that’s easy to explain.
Sherrill is a normal intelligent human being.
Trump is a deranged narcissist who can’t stay awake for more than a couple minutes.
I could go on and on but this is a simple distillation of things.

  4. Idk. Could be any number of reasons. Maybe it’s the nonsensical tariffs based on hurt feelings and not at all on financial policy? The ones the WE pay in the form of increased prices?
But could be at least a couple dozen other screw ups.
Not too hard to understand really.

  5. Maybe it’s because four children have recently died of a disease that was basically eradicated. Shows the breathtaking, and dangerous, ineptitude of those currently in charge.

  6. Although I don’t love everything that Trump does. We wouldn’t even have a country right now if it wasn’t for him. I don’t think I need to explain this. I think you already know why.

    1. Um, nope, you absolutely do have to explain that statement. Wouldn’t have a country if not for him??!
Please elaborate. The country is in pretty bad shape right now BECAUSE of him, so I am very interested in your existential theory. Thank you in advance.

  7. We might no longer have a country at the end of his term (if it actually ends, he’s tried it before). Rule of law ignored, ballooning deficits, costly vanity projects. We may go bankrupt! I mean we did ask him to run the country like his company, so the bankruptcy thing may be on us.

  8. “We wouldn’t even have a country right now”

Sir, the Republic was murdered in 1913 with the institution of the FED by Woodrow Wilson.

    1. Ah yes. The federal reserve, enemy of the people. (Sarcasm)
Just some clarification because these days it’s easy to forget. Congress passed the Fed Reserve Act. Wilson merely signed it. Presidents don’t make laws, at least up until about two years ago they didn’t. Congress makes the laws. There were myriad reasons for the creation of a central banking system, most of them good ones. But you are entitled to your own beliefs. Personally, I think the “citizens united” decision by the Supreme Court was a historical low point for the republic. Turned on the spigot of endless amounts of money into the system. The purchasing of access has created a dystopian wasteland of moral decay.

    2. You certainly enjoy your hyperbole. The republic was “murdered”? That’s a bold statement especially considering the passage (by congress btw) of the federal reserve act happened decades before you were even born. Likely before even your parents were born.

      1. The only president to ever fight against a central bank was Andy Jackson – one of the five greatest presidents we ever had. Abe Lincoln might belong in that group, but only with an satiric next to his name.

        1. Andrew Jackson never fought against the federal reserve because the federal reserve didn’t exist in the 1830s. He fought against the “second bank” which was a private corporation with public duties.
His fear was it gave too much power to wealthy eastern elites. Kinda like we have now in the right now. But basically because of de regulation and blatant and unchecked fraud. The current president will certainly have an asterisk (I assume that’s what you meant to type)

          1. Andrew Jackson never fought against the federal reserve because the federal reserve didn’t exist in the 1830s
            ———————————————————-
Correct up to a point. The “second bank” was the terminology they used in those days. The FED is the twentieth century version of that second bank. Any way you look at it, we’ve got bankers (some of them foreigners) in charge of our nation’s currency. That’s why we’ve got this so-called debt. The FED prints worthless money (nothing backing it) to our govt. and then gets it paid back with interest by our taxpayers earned money – real money. Quite a racket.

          2. Technically we’re all ‘foreigners’
It certainly is quite a racquet, but we may disagree on the beneficiaries of that racquet. It’s the rich white powerful political class. They’ve been robbing us blind for years. And to throw off the scent, they create a boogeyman. Poor people. So we freak out about food stamps and Medicaid (a tiny fraction of the budget) and ignore being robbed blind by the powerful elite.
            We’re gullible sheep.
