Now I see why Pringle is backing Donovan! He wants his offices to be 48 units!! So much for his beloved quaint town when it’s time to cash in. This should be the biggest eye opener to every voter what Donovan is about. More units our town can not absorb!! The Democratic Mayor gave us the eyesore on 35, let’s keep the train rolling with that same mind set, what’s another 48. Belmar needs a leader, not the same old thing. Vote her out!!
What are you babbling about? The council has a republican majority. They have since Jan. There’s also the planning board to get through (which is what this meeting is about). The planning board is a combo of Ds and Rs with both Donovan AND DeBlasio on it.
Trying to pretend that A) Pringle supports Donovan (literally zero evidence of that) and B) that Donovan is somehow benefitting from Pringle’s project and can somehow magically make it happen, is partisan politics on acid.
You are turning yourself into a pretzel trying to connect nonexistent dots.
These kind of ridiculous accusations based on made up nonsense is exactly what’s wrong with this country right now.
If I said “now I see why Pringle wants DeBlasio! It’s because DeBlasio is on the planning board and has a majority on the council! Now I get it!” You’d think I’d lost my marbles. And you’d be right.
Try to play in the world of facts.
What is going on in front of the housing Authority? It looks like they are protesting for bricklayers. Does anyone know what’s happening and why the union isn’t happy?
Hello Inquiring,
I’ll take a stab at your question. People are starting to understand they’ve been sold a billogoods/tricked. The trickery comes into play by teaching young men they’re too good for the work of tradesmen. Now, after all these years of our young men being prepared only for college, people are starting to understand that the work that’s being done should be being done by their own American youth. I’ve been screaming about this for years and no one would listen.
Not even close. The 706 and 708 lots that are being used for additional parking are on the opposite (north) side of Seventh Ave from the building. The building will be solely on lots fronting on the south side of Seventh, and will not extend to Eighth. The “some” affordable units are actually 10 units which amounts to just over 20% of the total units in the building. Because of the building’s proximity to the train station, the Boro is receiving 4 credits against its 4th Round obligation, in addition to the 10 AHUs. As a result of this project, Belmar meets 25% of its 4th Round Realistic Development Potential. That enabled Belmar to obtain an order from the court granting it immunity from builders’ remedy lawsuits – including the suit to build a 5 story building at 4th and Ocean.
Last, neither we nor the Borough have proposed a PILOT agreement.
The president (of the United States) is cozying up to Russia and working to make Ukraine vulnerable. That’s right, that’s no typo. The leader of the free world is favoring a (frankly insane) dictator over the country that has been invaded. I know what you’re thinking, these commie democrats always sympathizing with these foreign monsters. But get this…he’s a republican! Yes, that’s right.
A republican president indulging an ex KGB and current despot. A guy who literally murders his political opponents.
This may sound hyperbolic, but the republican party has given up its values, morals, ethics, and honor for a reality show grifter in a red tie. My prediction is it will take a generation to reclaim.

Anyone on the board that can respond?

Unions are mostly pissed off 24-7 anyway
What happened to “no over building”
Don’t believe the Democrats. Vote them out in this upcoming election before they completely destroy Belmar.
45 units thank you Kenney Pringle
A Jerry and Donovan supporter
Jerry’s words
“ transparency is crap!”
All anyone has to do is view what happened to France to realize the dems are out of control.
Defund the police
Open the borders
Strategic plan to ruin our country
Not having it
Vote them out
The 706 and 708 properties are on 8th Ave.
The new development extends from 7th to 8th Ave. 48 units with some ‘affordable’ and gets a Pilot.

I am surprised that the Housing Authority is allowed to use non-union contractors.
