  1. Until every country is on board, we are just a puppet to China.

I remember when China and India were considered third world countries when I was growing up in the 80s. Send business to these countries!!! Help them grow!!!! Share the wealth!!! I think they called it NAFTA.

Well all it did was move and lose American companies. No regulations set up on these foreign lands and now they are polluted.

    What did it solve?

Now we are doing it all over again, but this time we aren’t the polluters we are the “polluted” with bullshit…

    1. Maybe you should’ve paid more attention when growing up in the 80s. NAFTA is an acronym. An acronym that stands for the North American Free Trade Agreement. If you remember your basic geography, you’ll notice that neither China nor India are in North America. But hey, who cares about details. NAFTA was started under the first Bush and into the Clinton admin. It was a true bipartisan passage in the senate. Back when congress was made up of adults who compromised and worked together.
Oh, and China’s economic rise can be traced back to 1972 when Richard Nixon visited the country. He was a Republican. You may be surprised to know that free trade is a corner stone (or used to be) of conservative ideology.

This ‘article’ from Fox News is an opinion piece. That’s all. Someone’s opinion. Someone who works at a news organization that paid three quarters of a billion dollar fine for lying to its audience. Perhaps this little snow flake’s opinion should be taken with the worlds largest grain of salt?

    2. Murphy is nothing but a liberal Democrat trying to control every aspect of everyone’s life. The Democrats have ruined NJ.

      1. NJ continuously ranks in the top 20 states to live in. Currently ranked 7th in the country when measuring-Affordability, Crime & Safety, Economy, Education, Healthcare, Infrastructure, Opportunity, and Quality of Life. Very high in wealth and education.
Sounds like you hate the garden state. Maybe consider a move?
Maybe a ‘red’ state like Florida (ranked below us at 9 but falling due to government overreach into personal freedoms like reading and being gay) maybe Georgia or Kentucky (ranked 34th and 35th respectively) or South Carolina (43rd)?
You hate all democrats. It’s cool, it’s your thing I get it. But sometimes we have to open our minds to the possibility that both political parties have good policies and bad policies.
Climate change is a problem. It is a major financial problem (you should be concerned about that if nothing else). Even the audience at the GOP debate last week reacted negatively to one candidate’s denial.
Our children are the ones that are gonna have to deal with this mess. There is a push among some pretty powerful forces in this country to stop teaching kids about slavery, actual history, and yes, climate change. It’s pretty sad how incredibly sensitive these people are. They need to toughen up and admit that not everything can be white washed

        1. I don’t hate NJ. You are probably a Democrat that’s a member of a Union. Windmills are twice as expensive than nuclear. Solar panels are three times expensive. I don’t hate anyone. I hate their paternalistic approach. Personal freedoms in NJ? You mean a concealed carry permit in NJ? A big joke. NJ is fine for rich people, but the average person can’t afford to live properly here.

          1. I’m a citizen. I’m not a democrat or republican. I am not in a union but I have a few friends that are. Ironworkers, teachers, and cops (one federal and one local). Hate unions, huh? Careful, I guarantee there’s a person in your family tree that benefitted from organized labor in one way or another.
Frankly I don’t want anyone except law enforcement walking around with guns. There are way too many nut jobs in this world to allow something like that. I don’t think the rules for carrying a concealed gun (think about that for a minute) are hard enough. <i.(Deleted by Editor.) and next thing you know concealed weapons are out. These kinds of issues make law enforcement’s job that much harder. I have no interest in that.
The personal freedoms in Fla I was referring to are the kind that don’t harm anyone. You know, choosing who you love, what book you want to read, stuff like that. Republicans used to rail against the state getting involved with that stuff. Now they celebrate it. Strange times indeed.
NJ is an expensive state that’s for sure. And you and I will probably agree that government corruption is the reason. Where we differ is probably the fact that I see corruption being committed by both parties, whereas you have been taught to only hate one party.

  2. We are strangling our economy and everybody is paying more for energy and goods here while china keeps building coal plants for cheap energy.
    https://www.npr.org/2023/03/02/1160441919/china-is-building-six-times-more-new-coal-plants-than-other-countries-report-fin

China does not care what we or anyone else says. They will do whatever is best for china.
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/climate-environment/2023/07/19/climate-change-heat-wave-china/

    1. We import over $500 Billion dollars worth of Chinese products every year. You can hate China all you want but it is a guarantee that you are supporting them in one way or another. We all are. Until we let go of our obsession with saving money of cheap crap, we will always trade w China

And the argument, “well China doesn’t do it, why should we?!?” isn’t exactly the most mature rational. The US is a world leader. We lead. We don’t make excuses that we would even tolerate from our own children.

  3. Climate change doesn’t bother me as much as the push for transgenderization of our children. (Deleted by Editor.)

A teacher must take notes and notify parents of everything, except when your child could be having a serious mental health issue.

    Strange times.

    1. Same exact argument was made about homosexuality in the 50s and 60s. Literally almost the same exact. Being gay was illegal and it was thought to be a mental illness.
That’s not to say that some children with body dysmorphia are not struggling with other issues that may be affecting their judgement. But transgender people (yup, they are people) for the most part are sincerely in the wrong gender. If you spent on minute getting to know even just one person who has made the incomprehensibly courageous decision to live their life authentically, you’d sing a different song. I get that you’d rather listen to trans experts like Tucker Carlson, Ron Desantis, and Marjorie Taylor Greene but it might shock you to learn that they actually don’t know jack s#%*. They make a living off of fear mongering, and business is good. The decision to change gender has literally zero effect on your life. Zero. What ever happened to personal freedoms? They’re only acceptable when you are ok with it? Transgender issues, like teaching kids that slavery was objectively bad, have become a dog whistle for powerful conservatives who want to distract from actual problems. “Public schools are making your children trans!!!!” It is absolute nonsense.
I would be incredibly embarrassed as a parent if I was so completely out of touch with my own child that the school had to tell me something as monumental as that. Is no one else a little distressed by that? That there are parents out there that have so little communication with their child that they must really on the school to inform them? We used to call that good old fashioned bad parenting. But the folks pushing this manufactured outrage are living in a world where hypocrisy is a virtue and irony is dead.

      1. A lot of people say Aliens won’t visit us. I’m pretty sure they already have and are living among us under the cover of ***** ***********. It makes perfect sense. Ever see body snatchers?

The windmills are just landing pads. 5G towers to guide them in. Spotted lantern flies are involved.

        (Asterisks are mine, Editor.)

    2. “your child could be having a serious mental health issue.”
      ————————————————————————————
Many/most children these days have mental health issues. But it’s brought on by the new manner of living.

      1. Many/most ‘grown ups’ these days are also suffering from mental health issues. But it’s brought on by stubbornly clinging to the long gone past. Happens every generation.

  4. “America’s schools are becoming training grounds for climate change activists”

Yep … ACTIVISTS … not workers.

Nobody wants their offspring to work on high steel in the Atlantic Ocean … too risky.

OSHA reported 47 construction fatalities with the original WTC towers on terra firma

    1. Gene, I’d like to sea all the leaders of OSHA (Deleted by Editor) interstate highways for decent people to sea – I mean that only in the best way.

  5. NJ and you——-Repeat. I don’t hate anyone. I think you do. Ask a survivor of the holocaust if only cops should have guns. I also blame both parties. Both are corrupt.

    1. Ok that’s good to hear. You are always only attacking dems in your posts so it’s an easy assumption to make.

The Holocaust gun argument is old, tired, and a false equivalency. I know you know that. The German military was not going to be stopped by a group of people that made up 1% of the population, regardless of whether or not they had guns. In addition, the Nazis actually relaxed gun laws in 1928 and 1938. The only restrictions, of course, were the Jewish minority.
The argument, made by pro-gun lobbyists, implies that the US government will ‘take over’ if gun ownership is restricted at all. The US government is made up of the armed services. The Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard. The largest military force on planet earth. You can have an entire room in your home filled from floor to ceiling with guns, you will have no chance if the US government wanted to, for some unknown reason, ‘come and get you.’
It’s a silly argument and ignores that fact that common sense Gun restrictions are overwhelmingly popular among US citizens in poll after poll. As well as law enforcement groups who support restrictions for their own protection.

      1. When the government takes the guns away from ALL the bad guys, maybe then I’d consider giving up some of mine. Good luck with that. Start sending the bad guys to jail, for real. Build more prisons if need be. Stick the prisons out on islands in the ocean where the windmills will be. Maybe then we can live in a peaceful society where even the cops don’t carry guns. Utopia. And stop these wars that only cost us our standards of living.

        1. You don’t have to give up your guns. It’s a common misconception among gun lobbyists. Gun laws restrict access to the purchase of guns. You know, by the criminally insane, people with restraining orders, children, etc. It’s a good thing.

The police do take guns away from bad guys. The problem currently is that guns are so easy to get in a lot of places. Bad guys do usually go to jail (US has the highest incarceration rate in the entire world).
Despite what Fox News tells its viewers multiple times a night every night, violent crime has been in steady decline since 1990. It’s less than half of what it was then. You wouldn’t know it from GOP candidates and some truth challenged cable news shows. But we are living in the safest time, statistically, in many decades.
I don’t think we’ll ever live in a society where cops don’t have guns.
And sometimes wars are started by angry little dictators half way across the world. We are the beacon of freedom in the world. We can’t just let despots invade sovereign countries with impunity.

          1. So, Joe D, when Bush invaded Iraq in 2002, you were protesting? Hahahahaha, no you weren’t.
And yes, that was a foreign entanglement. Costing thousands of American lives and trillions of American dollars.
If a Republican prez was in power right now, you be celebrating the financial support of Ukraine. The hypocrisy runs very deep on the old Belmar Blog.

      2. It’s not a silly argument. There is something called the second amendment. You know comes after the first amendment. There are gun restrictions. (Deleted by Editor.) The point is keep your powder dry.

        1. “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
That is the second amendment in its entirety. For an amendment that is so sacrosanct in the minds of so many people, they gloss over the two most important words, ‘well regulated’. Like is said, no one is taking your guns, but it is important to honor the founding fathers by keeping gun ownership WELL REGULATED. No one needs a grenade launcher, or a high powered automatic military grade weapon. If you want to be a gun you can’t be a criminal or mentally ill or a child or have history of violence etc etc. Even the first amendment (the most important one) has limitations.
It is common sense. I love this great country, and I feel we should regulate the ‘militia’ just as our founders intended.
I’m sorry you don’t feel the same.

          1. The point is that the founding fathers understood that the greatest threat to our liberty would always come from the government. Obviously, no one wants traitors to be “regulating” militia. The local people should be in charge of their local militias, not some guy sent by a traitorous government. Also, this is not the 18th century anymore with muskets. If the enemies of the people has modern weaponry, then true patriots should have the same type of weapons. This concept of pointing fingers at criminals and mentally iff is a lot of bunk too. There are plenty of criminals and mentally ill people working within our government.
            ——————————————————————————-
Look at what happened in Afghanistan. The people ran us out and they’re taking care of their traitors within their population which includes the government officials and soldiers that sold out their nation.

          2. Citizens can’t own a rocket launcher. Citizens can’t own a high-powered automatic military grade weapon. There are background checks prior to owning a weapon. You, like many other gun hates, are mis informed. The militia is regulated. Waiting for your response.

          3. Mr Dilberger
Your kind of ***** is a breath of fresh air and terrifying all at once.
I’ve never heard that type of defense for a terrorist organization like the taliban. I say this with all seriousness, you should consider moving to Afghanistan. Their brand of religious oppression, subjugation of women, and incompetent governance is calling you. We’ll all help you pack.

            (Asterisks are mine, Editor.)

          4. As I said, You don’t want possible traitors regulating a militia (rule of thumb is if the person is an employee of the federal govt. there’s a fair chance he’s a traitor to our nation). Just look at the people who were in charge of the Afghan army that we put in charge – they were all traitors to their country.

          5. Mr ‘D’
I’m not sure you want to wait for my response. You’re not gonna like it.
First- In the US people CAN buy high powered military weapons. The word can is opposite of can’t (in case you are struggling). You see there was a federal law banning the sale of these types of weapons that was allowed to expire in 2004. Even though it was a wildly popular law. The law banning them was in place for a decade (1994-2004) and, you’re not gonna believe this, there was no government takeover of the citizenry and no one took anyone’s guns away. I know, shocking! However, these types of guns have been used in multiple mass shootings.
On top of that, citizens CAN buy grenade launchers. What? As long as they live in a state where it is allowed. And yes, there are states where it is allowed. Just order it online.
Yes you need a background check in NJ but there is nothing stopping anyone from buying a gun on the internet. Or traveling to a gun friendly state. Oh and the gun friendly states have been trying to impose their state laws on other states. That’s called hypocrisy. There are a lot of republicans that cry “States Rights!!!!” until they don’t like the law of another state.
Gun violence in this country is a global embarrassment. Full stop. There is no defense of it. I am not a gun hater. I own a gun. And as it is now hopefully settling into your Fox News affected brain, you are the one that is miss informed. Monumentally so.
Gun lobbyists are against ALL background checks (like literally all) and limits on powerful weapon purchases.
Again, educate yourself. Arguing with you is way too easy to be interesting.

          6. Got it. So my mail carrier is a traitor. All the brave men and women in the armed forces are traitors. The people working tirelessly for homeland security are traitors. The men and women processing your Medicare coverage and social security benefits are traitors. The CIA and FBI computer experts that have broken up huge global child sexual abuse exploitation rings, traitors. Got it.
Do you ever tire of being wrong?
You hate politicians. Congratulations! Join the club, there are about 300 million of us.
The federal government employs a lot of people. The vast majority of which are patriotic Americans just like you, well not just like you because you are not patriotic, but you get my point.
Stop lumping your anger at certain politicians with your misguided indictment of the entire federal government. It’s tired, inaccurate, and hypocritical.

Move to Afghanistan. You would love it there. You can be true to their brand of governance. They are very much against the new manner of living. You will fit right in.

    2. “I don’t hate anyone”
      ———————————-
You don’t hate anyone? There’s something wrong with you?

  6. Can’t stop waiting. I really believe you’re a commie. I will not respond anymore because of your derogatory remarks. You’re wrong on many issues. One in particular is you can’t just go over to another state and buy a gun. Need to show proof of residency or own property. Followed by background check. Any idea of drug violence? Now good riddance.

    1. A few things
Why do you guys always think pople should leave America if they think the country is being run by anti-American traitors?
In my way of thinking, we should stay and fight the traitors.
As fas as “hate” goes, it says in the bible, there’s a time for everything, Eccles. 3. There’s a time for love, a time for hate, a time for peace, a time for war, etc. This is the time for hate.
      ————————————————————————–
As far as traitors here, let me be more specific. It’s my view that all the top positions in this nation are peopled by traitors, Depts. of Defense, Education, State, The Fed is all traitors, CDC, etc. But there are plenty of other traitors throughout the nation.

      1. Ok Don Quixote. You keep fighting the windmills.
I believe your particular ecclesiastical clock has stopped on ‘hate’. I’ve never heard you have anything but hateful things to say on this blog. Time to change the battery.
And yes, anyone who hates America as much as you do should leave it. As those on the right always like to say, “love it or leave it”. Buh-bye

Oh, and last but not least. I’m starting to think you don’t know what the word ‘traitor’ means.

        1. I forgot to mention the, Depts. of “Homeland Security,” the judicial system from top to bottom, the clergy, FBI, CIA, OSHA, EEOC, etc., etc., etc. All full of traitors at the top levels.

          1. The clergy? What exactly are you talking about? There are no clergy in the federal government.
            Are you ok?

    2. A commie? How prey tell am I a commie?
You said I am wrong on many issues. Then named one. Typical. Don’t want to list the ‘many issues’? I think I know why.
But, I’ll address the one thing you said I’m wrong about… I CAN actually go to another state and buy a gun WITHOUT A BACKGROUND CHECK. There are 30 states that do not require background checks for private gun sales. The other 20 states require universal background checks even for private sales.
So who’s the commie? The guy who’s ignorant of the laws in his own country? Or the the guy who keeps correcting that guy?
One more time, either educate yourself or stop fighting on the internet. It’s embarrassing.

  7. Build more prisons and enact harsher penalties to those responsible for gun related offenses. Period. Hunter included.

    1. Prisons are expensive to build. Plus we already incarcerate more people that any other country. Maybe lesson offenses for drug possession to clear them out a bit.
I agree that we should enforce gun laws but guns flood into strict states from loose states. It’s like whack a mole.
      Yes Hunter should be charged.
Anyone who breaks the law should be charged. Anyone. Even former presidents.

  8. Most clergy in this country are traitors to our nation, (Deleted by Editor.). it doesn’t have to be an actual government agency. Most of the mainline churches are on the government dole.

    1. They enjoy tax free status. Is that what you mean by government dole? I guess that is kinda the same thing.
I don’t see how they, the clergy, are traitors. Are they selling secrets? Are they interfering with elections? I’d love to hear your thoughts on how they are traitors.
      Thank you.

      1. They’re clearly in cahoots with the fedgov traitors. They never show up at town events and don’t even say anything against what is condemned by their own religious doctrine.
As far as money goes, there are many other ways they get fedgov money. They’re also helping the fedgov with these illegal aliens coming in, etc., etc., etc.

        1. Wow. Just, wow.
You’ve heard of the Johnson amendment, yes? I hope. You must, because you are always talking about the constitution. The Johnson Amendment is a provision in the U.S. tax code, since 1954, that prohibits all 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations from endorsing or opposing political candidates. So, clergy like to stay away from politics for fear of losing the tax free status. I know I know, there will be some Trump heads on here that will say “Trump got rid of the Johnson amendment!” He didn’t. One thing you all have to realize is that Trump lies with astounding ease. The Johnson amendment is still very much on the books. So that’s why the clergy don’t get involved with “town events” or get into political discussions.
As far as “these illegal aliens coming”, the church in general and the Catholic Church in particular have a moral obligation to help those in need. Perhaps if you paid any attention at all in church, you’d know that Jesus was Himself a refugee. That He dedicated His life to helping those less fortunate. There were no considerations of arbitrary borders or man’s immigration laws. The church, based on doctrine, must help these folks. There are literally dozens of passages in the Bible about ignoring borders and caring for your fellow man. Exodus, Matthew, Deuteronomy, Leviticus, etc.
I really am continually amazed at the vastness of your ignorance. Seriously.
