There is a manipulative bunch of people surrounded around the Mayor and her campaign. It is the same people who have surrounded themselves around the previous Mayor. We all remember the lies, the bullying, the lack of trust…
This is opposite of what DeBlasio and Anan are trying to a achieve in Belmar.
The more people they talk to as they are campaigning the more it is coming to their attention that their opponents are not trustworthy.
We have to vote them out and bring this town to the next level to restore, unite and lead Belmar out of the shadows.
Wow, one person wants one candidate, another person wants the other. What a shock
Here’s the deal folks. If Donovan wins, DeBlasio stays on the council. He can continue to do the amazing work he’s been doing since Jan and run again after gaining some more legislative experience.
If DeBlasio wins, Donovan is off the council and there is the potential of an all republican mayor and council.
That’s not good. It’s as not good as an all Democrat mayor and council.
Keep a balance. Vote Donovan for mayor and we still get to have both Donovan AND DeBlasio working for Belmar. Win win.
It’s simple: If you want a repeat of the last four years, then vote Democrat. If you want change, and you want a better BELMAR for the future then vote the opposite.
What if you don’t want to repeat the Wallsifer years either? What if you can’t figure out what the republican majority has been doing for the last nine months? What if you see the need for a balanced representation of both parties? What if you want a better Belmar (we all do frankly) but you believe that will be achieved by Donovan?
I’m afraid it’s not simple at all.
You need to come to a meet and greet, and your heart and mind will be settled. You just need to listen to DeBlasio and Anan and know that they are coming from a truthful place.
Both of them are successful business owners, and both of them have raised their kids in this community. Both of them are very involved in their parish-community. And both of them have long ties in Belmar and they are not going anywhere.
The Republicans took their time to put forth two great candidates.
Well that’s ridiculous. We are living through, quite literally, the worst president in this great county’s history. Worst in basically all possible categories.
Now I get that he was a Democrat for his entire life right up to the golden elevator stunt, but he’s a republican now.
So, I will be voting for Democrats. And I think you will be very upset after the mid terms because most everyone else will be voting for Democrats too. Even Trump’s increasingly desperate attempts to suppress voting won’t stop that I’m afraid.
However, I don’t live my life with blinders. I don’t say insane things like “never vote republican!” Because there are some good republican politicians and some good democrat politicians. When you live your live with that kind of blatant single mindedness, you miss out on a lot.

Cmon fella, Yeah Trump is a loser, but he’s got a lot of heavy competition to get to be the absolute worst. Just try on wilson, fdr, lbj for three right there (they were actually traitors to our nation).
Agree to disagree. FDR was elected three times, brought us out of Great Depression and was instrumental in helping allies win the war. LBJ and Wilson, yea ok I’ll give you those.
But none quite reach the draft dodging, bankruptcy having, lech being, fraud perpetrating, nap taking, golf playing, babbling, narcissist level of current potus.
It will be taught in history classes for decades. The era where America was nearly destroyed by a reality TV celebrity and his sycophantic followers. Will we learn from it? One can only hope.
Are these verifiable?
(My choice, the Blog is not going to post these, Editor.)
This is most definitely not verifiable. As stated, the lady that runs this blog will only post comments that she approves of. And that does not mean they are truthful cvomments. Just means that is it does not fit her narrative it will not be posted.
Most likely this post will not be posted
Acting mayor Donovan, after reading the Coast Star, why is it the boroughs responsibility to provide parking for all these greedy developers. THEY should be providing adequate parking for their planned monstrosities. The town gave developer DePeppe the parking lot at 10th and railroad. He allegedly allows 20 parking spots to the public under his building. WHO WOULD KNOW ABOUT THAT?? Another scam.
(Caitlin Donovan is our official Mayor now, Editor.)

Makes no nevermind that bum/fdr got elected 3 times. He instigated the attack on Pearl Harbor and then didn’t even put our guys on alert (he had to do it that way because a recent poll had shown 70% of Americans didn’t want to get involved in the war). He just let them get attacked so he could have his war, mainly because he couldn’t get us out of the depression and his banker friends told him to get us in it.
It would be nice if people would actually do the research before writing letters to The Coast Star.
Terri Lynch’s letter claims Mayor Donovan is fighting Verizon. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Donovan only uses the issue when she is campaigning. The reality is that she voted in favor of placing cell poles 50 feet west of Ocean Avenue—anywhere in Belmar, right in front of residents’ homes. Council President Jodi Kinney was the one who actually contacted Congressman Smith and Monmouth County Commissioner Director Tom Arnone to put their authority behind fighting Verizon. Yet Donovan takes all the credit, and no one takes the time to check the facts.
And look at the front page of The Coast Star: Donovan is discussing parking issues. Unbelievable! She voted “yes” on all 450 of these new units without ever reading Belmar’s parking ordinances, allowing developers to fall far short of required parking spaces. Now she formed a parking committee to figure how to fix the problem she created. Thanks to her, taxpayers will be left paying for a parking garage.
When asked about municipal budget overspending, she can’t explain how or why it happened—she just resorts to the blame game. Every year, she voted for huge tax increases without ever asking why. As Mayor or a Council member, you are elected to represent the residents of Belmar, not the professionals who have no stake in our community other than a paycheck. When something is wrong for our town, it is your obligation to vote no. We need leadership that actually knows the difference.
Belmar voters need to wake up. We cannot afford four more years of rising municipal taxes and zero accountability. On November 3, Mike DeBlasio and Suzanne Anan will end the blame game. They will do the research, tell the exact truth, and put Belmar residents first. It’s time for Belmar to wake up and make the change we need.

A bit dramatic don’t ya think?
It’s a small town. We all want the same thing. The only difference between Donovan and DeBlasio is the spelling of their names.
The difference between Donovan and DeBlasio is, Donovan is a *****, DeBlasio is real.
(Asterisks are mine, Editor.)

I have a better solution. Vote Donovan out. (Deleted by Editor.)
If the two undercover independents win… it will be good for both sides.
An undivided town is the goal!
HAR-HAR-HARDEE-HAR-HAR!!!
DON’T VOTE!!!
Makes me smile every time I learn that you don’t vote. There’s hope.
It’s simple: If you want a repeat of the last four years, then vote Democrat. If you want change, and you want a better BELMAR for the future then vote the opposite.
If you do not vote, then do not complain

If we can’t post links I encourage people to Google the last name of the candidates and search for things like Belmar, Police.
Donovan is huge disappointment to a group of employees in town. She is a *****. We would like to expand at a council meeting.
(Asterisks are mine, Editor.)
You should… state your case. I have a beef with her as well. See you up there. Meeting is Tuesday.

the building @ 10th & Railroad needs ‘Public Parking’ smart signage at the entrance
You’re 100% correct Mr. Creamer!
Mr. Creamer you are 100% correct!
They should include the state in helping us with our parking situation since they approved all this affordable housing.
This regime who is leading the town at this moment are all of the same progressive Dems.
The same circle of dems will be back for another four years unless you vote them out.
