Welcome to The Belmar Blog

The Belmar Planning Board is beginning its 2026 Reexamination of the Borough’s Master Plan, as required under New Jersey’s Municipal Land Use Law (MLUL), which mandates that municipalities review their master plans at least once every ten (10) years. Belmar’s last reexamination was completed in August 2016. This process provides an important opportunity to evaluate whether the Borough’s planning goals, land use policies and development regulations continue to reflect current conditions and community priorities. –
